I think I might die of laughter if an OEM started calling their seats “Carnivore Leather” ?Can I trade the powered cover for real leather (carnivore) seats?

I agree, why call it leather (vegan leather), when there is absolutely no leather in it.I think I might die of laughter if an OEM started calling their seats “Carnivore Leather” ?
It's still better thanI agree, why call it leather (vegan leather), when there is absolutely no leather in it.
Same here. I'd much rather have the manual tonneau.Incentive or not, I would also consider the manual over the powered tonneau. But by the time I get my "first half 2023" max pack, we should have some more real world experiences on the reliability and durability of the powered options that will help me decide. As long as the original pricing/configuration promise remains honored, I definitely want the Adventure package overall, so would happily take a reliable and functional powered tonneau instead of an incentive if that turns out to be the case.
Same reason it's called "soy milk" or "vegan cheese" - it's not about what it's made of, it's about the customer expectations and how it's intended to be used.I agree, why call it leather (vegan leather), when there is absolutely no leather in it.
BMW and Audi call the stuff Sensatek or something like that, no need to make is sound like something it isn't. I really want to see somebody milk an almond though.Same reason it's called "soy milk" or "vegan cheese" - it's not about what it's made of, it's about the customer expectations and how it's intended to be used.
It's reasonable to roll your eyes at the "vegan leather" term (I do too), but I'm sympathetic for these companies wanting to accurately convey that it's a superior product to what you'd think of if they said "plastic" or another boring but accurate noun. And it's better than many animal-based leather products in almost every way. (Of course there are exceptions at the higher end of the market.)
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it will be a problem. Kinda wished they had designed in a way to hand-crank it open and close.…and speaking of the motorized tonneau cover is anyone else concerned it could become the next gull wing doors mistake, keeping Rivian service center people awash in overtime?
The manual cover slides in to the same channels as the powered one, from the tailgate end.Personally I don't see how the manual cover will work seamlessly with the cross bars and how inconvenient would it be to have to take the cross bars off the open the tonneau - or worse, be unable to access gear if the cross bars have gear on top. I think that's why most people are opting for the powered cover.
Got it. Must say, logistically that option sounds like a nightmare to operate as well! The manual cover slides in to the same channels as the powered one, from the tailgate end.

curious to see exactly how they’ll work but still opting for the power one for push-button convenience.Got it. Must say, logistically that option sounds like a nightmare to operate as well!
