Revert back to the previous update?

OK the sound system sounds better. That's nice. I don't speak apple so AM is useless to me. Whatever else is improved must be even less impressive since I can't recall one.
The things that are worse far outweigh having to reduce the volume, however. Fantom braking on cruise has become unacceptable. It was barely tolerable previously but now it's just plain dangerous rendering whatever the cruise control is called useless.
Additionally, mine keeps jumping out of camp courtesy throughout the day. I charge at work 30' from my work area inside the building. It seems to be the perfect distance to lock and unlock many times per hour as I move about while I work. Camp courtesy is critical to my ability to continue to charge at work.
I'm a huge fan of everything rivian except for 2 of my favorite 3 features regressing to unusable and unreliable.
Anyone else experience these issues?

I'll give it a whirl. That did seem to revive the drive cam a couple of weeks ago.
Not sure I can trust the speed control with all of the phone fiddling tailgaters we're producing these days.

What you see as a regression might be an improvement to others. So far this is the only vehicle I've purchased in my life that has continually gotten better after a year + of ownership.

I completely agree that the vehicles we already own are improving while we own them and it's incredible. I'm not sure sudden hard braking for no reason is an acceptable side effect, however. Search YouTube for "brake check" and see how some people react. You'll find quite a few who don't react quickly enough, too.

Totally agree. To be clear I didn't mean that phantom braking was an improvement. I have experienced that in my limited usage of Driver+ and was also not a fan. But I also have such low expectations for any L2 driver assistance platform that I was not surprised by it. So for me that simply fell into the "expected" category I guess...

Took mine camping this weekend and it also kept turning off camp courtesy. It would be working fine then suddenly it would unlock when I walked by.

id like to revert to the previous update as well mainly due to the changes in audio. i have the Meridian Elevation and sound got noticeably worse. ive been adjusting the EQ but haven't found the right settings yet. Apple Music + Spatial Audio does create a different kind of immersive experience but imo the 3D Surround in the Meridian system sounds better. and yes the increase in volume is annoying. there's less control over the level of sound in the vehicle now. it almost feels like its off, low and loud now whereas before i could minutely increase sound volume. not happy with this.

wrt Driver+, i actually noticed that lane centering is better than it was before but i did experience phantom braking a couple of times on a short commute. and typically i only had that happen 2-3 times a month.

I wonder if my hardware is different. I’ve used Driver+ a lot over the first 1500 miles of this current trip. It is much improved over what it was in January of 2023. Does not drop out nearly as much.

It works best on highways that are not full of sharp turns like Idaho, Montana, etc. still has a ways to go to get like the Tesla AP1 in my Model S but I am not seeing any phantom braking on mine.

I hope those of you who are on here complaining (rightfully if your issues are pervasive) are sharing this feedback with Rivian.

If no one tells Rivian there are problems, they'll not be fixed in the *next* updates.

Sharing these experience on the forums is great and all, but it doesn't equate to a formal report to the people who can make a difference!

As I doubt the sc would be able to do much and probably keep my truck forever, I told him I just wanted to add my 2 cents. He said he'd pass it along to the proper people. I never had a phantom breaking with X5 (2021). It also can change lines and have hands off traffic jam assist. Really good L2 ADAS. Rivian in 2025 still can not reach this level, not even close.
