Rivian App cannot wake up Gen 2 R1S after 2024.39 update

So ever since I updated the software to 2024.39 before the Halloween mode was turned on, my Rivian phone app has not been able to connect to the vehicle. I have not been able to lock/unlock or turn on climate remotely. Gear guard live cam doesn’t work either. It does update the batt % left and location of the vehicle so it’s not completely disconnected. It appears that maybe the app cannot wake the vehicle up. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling. Deleting my phone key and reinstall it, software and hard resetting the vehicle, resetting my phone and still having this issue. Even with my wife’s phone which is a different model than mine, I still get the same errors. This makes me think it’s not a phone or app issue but the vehicle or the cloud. Even updated to 2024.39.31. Problem persists.

When the car is awake ie by proximity unlocking, I can control climate, gear guard, etc on the app again. Cell signal on my phone and vehicle are both good.

I called service and they said that they was an “outage” in my area (Phx, AZ). Didn’t clarify if it was a cell service outage (but all other apps like Apple Music on the infotainment works) or Rivian server outage.

I’m guessing the problem is I’m having issues with connecting the phone and vehicle in the cloud

Anyone have similar issues like this or anyone have any suggestions on anyone else I could try?

You do not say if you subscribed to Connect+.

I did subscribe to Connect+, I’m on 2024.39.01 and my R1S is not having that issue.

I had a connectivity issue a couple days ago where I couldn’t initiate an update through the app. Kept saying the truck wasn’t ready.

Some users reported that they lost connection after subbing to Connect+

Oh ok. Ya the update's installation went smoothly. Everything in the vehicle works as it should. It’s the app connectivity that broke

I’m still awaiting the service appt. The next update (.51) also looks promising as it might have a fix.
