Update: Service in Sparks, NV ended up replacing both 12v batteries, which doesn't effect range of course but said they felt since they ran down to zero they wanted new batteries in there. Was a little suspicious about that one...they didn't charge us. They had their diagnostics team go through our trip that night and found that there was a software problem that was miscalculating mileage... said we had 100 miles when we had 20 miles. With the latest software update, we've done that trip now 4 times and it's been very consistent on what our Estimated battery is supposed to be at the end. Although note that it's a 36 mile trip and generally takes closer to 75 miles in "battery" to complete it. Obviously driving conditions, speed, hills, outside temp, etc. play a role in that... i can't drive under 70mph on the highway so they said the faster you drive it really eats the battery...as well as drive mode can really affect it. So pretty much have to throw mileage from Google maps out the window and use the trip planner to stay on top of battery life...

Glad they got you sorted. You probably realize this, but just wanted to comment that this is the same for any vehicle. Obv. fuel economy is going to be affected differently if you're going 90mph vs going 60. And the Rivian hardly has the best aerodynamics.

I don't know anything about where you live where you say you "can't drive under 70mph" so can't really comment on that, but ? Must be nice, LOL. My neighborhood I can't drive over 25 mph in most places because of all the traffic. Haha. ?
