Everything in the stock market is up. But the larger investors probably have some idea of how Rivian's first quarter went and assume they have met the (meager) expectations they set out in their last call. So I think it's just balancing out a bit. I don't expect that the stock price is going to continue to rise in any significant way. It's still way down from the IPO.Anyone know why RIVN is up 16% today?
This is typically how i judge if it is a sector gain or RIVN gainAnyone know why RIVN is up 16% today?
Wow the 17% change without public information screams of the potential for insider trading. On the plus side, that also suggests the information is positive deliveries. This is typically how i judge if it is a sector gain or RIVN gain![]()
If RIVN trends with Lucid, it is a sector gain, not Rivian specific. That said, Rivian is typically slightly more volatile compared to Lucid, but watch the overall trends.
But yes, they did gain on something today. Perhaps analyst are looking at current deliveries and are satisfied with apparent Q1 performance and are buying in before the June report.
Once again, you need to factor out the sector gain. So probably more around 9-10%, but still quite large.Wow the 17% change without public information screams of the potential for insider trading. On the plus side, that also suggests the information is positive deliveries.
Even at current price, Rivian market cap is twice Nissan. People that thought they were getting a deal at IPO price should take some responsibility for their loss.
Comparing apple seeds to apples.Currently Rivian at $33, Tesla at $1038.
Could be, but I don't think so, law suits have been mentioned previously, Lucid is down today, Lithium miners are down today (LTHM, SQM, ALB), PBW (a clean energy ETF) is down......Related?
