Rivian's charge limit function doesn't work

I normally set the charge limit to 75% and scheduled to charge only between 1 PM - 4:30 PM then just leave the car plugged in all day. (I have Solar system and just want to use solar to charge the car when Sun is at the peak) This arragement was working great at the beginning for a while. However a couple of software updates later this charge limit function doesn't seem to work correctly anymore. It now passd 75% charge limit and each day it keeps charging little bit more passing the 75% limit. Two weeks ago it charged up to 79% now this week it is at 82% charge level. Did the past software update break this function? Has anybody else had this weird behavior?

I have a similar schedule for the same reason (solar panels). I have not had this problem so far but will keep an eye on it and report back. Thanks for noting it.

delete the scheduled charge and limit you have and rebuild.

We charge Opal to 70% on our Rivian Wall Charger. She has always stopped charging right at 70%, as recently as last night. We do not use any timed function on our charges.

Only time I’ve had an issue with scheduled charging, is when/if you manually stop a session while it’s in progress. The next time you plug in, it will start charging immediately because it’s trying to finish the previous session, instead of following the schedule.

My bigger issue is with the daily/weekdays option. When you change one, it changes both. Rivian, if you’re listening, this needs to be a custom option to pick any time/day of the week individually. My electric company’s ToU rates are different during the week (12am-6am) vs weekends (12am-2pm). Sucks having to manually switch every time.

I have a similar schedule dialed in to optimize for solar production, only difference is I stop at 70%. Works fine for me. Only thing I notice is that there seems to be a 2% “dead and on the lower end” wherein it won’t start charging again, after plugged in for a few days, until the SOC drops to 68% or so.

Yes I did try to stop the charging manually and maybe you are right. Manually interrupting a charging cycle has to with my issue. Is there a way to reset this and start from the clean slate?

It’s been a while, but I think I had to stop it a second time, then it picked up the charge schedule again.
