Rove Breaks Ground in Santa Ana

For those in So Cal / OC Area, looks like Rove has started construction on their first location that will have a Gelson's Market, 40 chargers, 24 hr lounge, and touchless car wash. It's good to have more options! They plan on having 20 locations by 2026 (one won't be too far from me)

Very cool concept. I imagine they have to charge more to stay in business but after a long day of driving I would love to see something like that vs sitting in my truck in a Walmart parking lot eating drive through Taco John’s.

Those in the SoCal / OC areas will be charging at home, myself included. These are more for those passing through where they can fast charge using its L3 chargers on their way to their destination.

Some people live in apartments or condos and don’t have access to home charging. But agree, it will service both needs.

This is true and having access to chargers are critical to make EVs possible for them. That is one of the reasons there are so many Superchargers around SoCal.

Looks like the Santa Ana location will be opening Summer 24. Based on the 3D tour (rendered), it will look pretty nice. Hopefully, prices will be reasonable for those that need it and like traditional gas stations the real profit is made on the snacks!
