After updating the software I encountered a charging issue yesterday. I have the truck scheduled to start charging at 8:30PM but it started at 6:30PM even though the time in the truck was correct. I caught it after just a bit and stopped it. After that I reset the computer just in case it was a glitch. The dash then said charging would start at 8:30PM but once I got in the truck this morning it didn’t charge at all. Not a huge deal but it will most likely add about $50 to my electric bill due to it kicking on during peak time and I get charged by peak demand. It charges at 8kw and the peak charge is $6/kw.

If the truck's GPS doesn't think you are at home for any reason, I think it doesn't follow the schedule. That's part of the reason I use my third party charger to schedule charging. Rivian has issues with that too though if the vehicle is asleep when the schedule flips over. Sometimes it doesn't pick up on the change.

It has always worked fine before the update. Guess I just won’t plug it in until after peak time to be sure. I notified Rivian and they want to send a tech out to the truck. I’m not sure why they think they need to do that.

It was almost like my truck thought was in central time zone vs eastern because I plugged it in at 4pm but didn’t start until 6:30pm exactly 2 hours early.

That does seem like a plausible reason, too.
