I left my T plugged in at work which is very close to the airport so I could charge it up the day before I return from visiting family. This message is not what I need. I need enough range to get home when I land at 11 pm. Now, I'm hoping the vampires don't get too hungry.

It had no schedule at work. I tried setting one up and I got all excited to see the lightning bolt appear in the app but clicking on it gave me the message. Then, I turned off the schedule and no lightning bolt. I'm doomed.

I always make sure the charge starts before walking away. Too many things can cause problems from the vehicle to the app to the charger to the charger app blah blah blah.

What kind of charger is it? Does it require user action to start a charging session or do you just plug it in?

try adjusting the charging limit to see if you can get it to start charging that way.

I see this frequently. Most of the time the charge will start even though the app says it hasn’t and eventually it’ll show. If not, try it again. It just needs to wake up is all. You can also try the fan. I hit the lock or unlock but that may not be advisable if it’s not in a secure place. The locks work well though to wake the vehicle.

Some "smart" EVSEs will time out and then be unavailable later. They think they are seeing some possible fault and "protect" you from it. Always charge right when you plug in.

That's probably it. I have an aftermarket charger plugged into it.

Can someone at work coordinate with you on these things, @Webleyaz?

(1) They go to the Rivian where it is, at the work charger.
(2) You unlock the Rivian remotely, using the app.
(3) They unplug and re-plug the charger, re-starting and troubleshooting the charger if needed.
(4) After it starts charging, you lock the Rivian remotely, using the app.
(5a) You use the app's "Schedule" function to adjust the charge rate to the rate you need. EXAMPLE:
(5b) 8 amps at 240 volts = about 1.9 kW leaves the charger, about 1.6 kW is stored in HV battery.
(6) When you get home, the Rivian is charged.
(7) When you get back to work, whoever helped you is recognized (pizza, flowers, gift card???).

Not a foolproof sequence, but seems more likely to work than not -- if a colleague will help.

How long will it be at the airport? Generally seeing about 1% a day unless there's a ton of activity triggering Gary.

Call Rivian and ask them to do a remote restart. It's your best bet at reinitiating a charge while you're away from the truck, unless you have someone that can do it there for you.

I talked a coworker into doing the unplug/replug on Monday. The one guy with a plug-in hybrid was even willing to touch it. Man won't eat pizza, tho. Gift card, it is. Don't get me started on his eating habits.
