Sources for 12v constant power in the cabin?

I don't have my truck now, it's in for service, and trying to plan out a purchase/installation. I want to put a small fridge in the vehicle to run most of the time. The 12v under the dash turns off when you lock the truck. Does anyone know if the wireless phone pads turn off or stay on? I could steal power from them pretty easily. Does the gear tunnel power turn off or stay on? It would be easy to get a wire to that (the fridge will be placed in the middle of the back seat and strapped down to the baby seat attachment points). Other sources of 12v inside the cabin?

I know there's some way to get a wire from the 12v batteries into the firewall, just can't figure out where exactly. And it would be nice to avoid having to.

I used an ecoflow to power my small cooler and it charges from the 12V and the cooler is powered by the 12V on the ecoflow.

I won't be adding another battery here, for a few reasons. A major one is the heat inside the car in summer. So it needs 12v constant.

Ah, thanks, somehow I missed finding that when I was looking. I guess it has to be straight to the battery, as it probably also kills the phone charge pads.

Just be careful...I don't want to see that your ride was bricked because the 12V system died. Would you be better off getting a 120VAC-12VDC Converter and using that plugged into an outlet instead? At least then you're running off the main battery and don't have to worry about draining your 12V battery.

It comes with a 120v adapter, but I'm going to use 12v. The 120v outlets turn off after some hours, you can't make them stay on. There's a 300a accessory port on the secondary 12v battery so I have no concerns with it, if Rivian put that there.

I wish the outlets had more control, like staying on, or enabling them from the app remotely.

There are a couple options for 12v accessory power.

1) OBD to 12v adapter - This is limited in the amount of power it can provide but it will supply constant power.

2) As someone suggested above you can use the 120v outlet under the rear display. This is constant of course but it's limited to 3 days before you have to reactivate it.

3) Directly tapping the 12v system

I have option 1 to run a screen for my backup camera on my travel trailer. If all places for Rivian to remove 12v power the under display was one of the more important locations for 12v power.

I believe OBD standard requires the port to be unswitched ...meaning it stays on all the time. It's also my understanding the minimum it has to be capable of is 4a.

What I don't know is if there is any protection from drawing down the 12v. I only use it because of location. The link I posted above also has an on/off switch on it. I don't power my screen when the car is off.

If I were trying to power a fridge, I would use the 120v plug and set a reminder for every three days or use something like an Eco flow.

The risk of course would be drawing down the 12v will brick the truck.

For sure, you can plug an OBD tool into them without the keys at all. Just didn't remember that at all.
