Stuck in purgatory since last Wednesday as well. 100% paid for, fully insured and I know the truck is at my Phoenix service center for a week.......I'll admit, I'm a highly patient guy, but this has created a few challenges to that.....I really need to hear something by end of business on Monday or I'm taking a trip to the Service Center......lol

I appreciate Rivian trying to distill a traditionally clumsy and upsell fraught process to 8 steps. That being said, some additional status for each step would probably take a lot of heat off CS and guides and make customers feel like the process is more intelligent. For example - this step 8 we're all in... How about "At service center, Actually still in transit passing through... expected at SC destination on..., Awaiting state title/reg completion, final QA flag, just wiping down one last time, long queue for delivery staff, detailing following Starling flock fly over" etc.

THAT being said, we're in early days of what I feel is now actual go-time so maybe all this will improve with time and experience.

I got a Rivian promotional email this week touting the process as a differentiator. That was obviously, sent without context that I was in the midst of if all. I kinda laughed, especially with step 7 having ambiguous Plaid fail (ironic or intentional they're using something named after primary competitors flagship?) and wire transfer going MIA for many days - potentially partly on me for initially missing proof of wire upload.

Dumb question. I assume that in the insurance step you guys all see your VIN number too. Right?

Yep - as soon as 8 stage process opens, VIN is available as part of vehicle details

Ok. It showed me the VIN when I was doing mine today at the end of the insurance step.

Had that wrong - purchase summary.

Other stuff tends to update with it as the steps move along though as well - so maybe it didn’t show that until I got to that step. But it’s for sure there now

Its that new “torque all brake line and hydraulic connections” service bulletin that’s holding up our deliveries at the service center. ?.

So you have to PAY for the vehicle and insure it BEFORE you can check it out or drive it? What happens if there’s an accident before you take physical possession?
