I am a very early pre-order holder (12/10/2018) and originally elected to go with the Max Pack battery. As we know, Rivian reversed things on us and moved the delivery of Max Pack orders to the end of the line. We all received an email stating that we could change to the standard pack and according to the letter they sent me back in late 2021, would move my delivery up “significantly”. They said CS would be reaching out in January 2022 to see if I was interested in making that change. I then took it upon myself to make the change to the standard pack so when I heard nothing by January 2022, I assumed it was because I made the change already.

I called CS several weeks ago to ask them about this (just after the pricing debacle) and they told me that they would be changing my order back to the original pricing and I should receive a delivery window at that time.

Fast forward to today. Like everyone else, thankfully my pricing reverted to the original price today, but I still have not heard anything from Rivian on my potential delivery timeframe, not a word.

I was wondering if anyone else here who switched from the Max Pack when that letter came out has received a delivery window or is everyone like me and still stuck in limbo and waiting?

stuck in limbo and every time I reach out to CS asking about if switching from Max to Large pack would change my delivery timing, they respond with the same generic "Configure the vehicle that you want. We are not able to tell you how this would effect your delivery timing. Several factors go into this including location, configuration, preorder date. We will be launching a projected delivery timing window in the configurator sOOn."

It's very frustrating that they switched this on us (going from Max Pack would be first, to now last), told us they would reach out about switching and provide details how keeping Max Pack may impact our timing, and yet CS has been radio silent on this and will not even give us an idea of when the Max packs will start going out.

Glad to know I am not the only one. I did not care as much when were all waiting but very frustrating to see people that placed an order AFTER me getting delivery dates.

I agree. And to add to that, people that have placed orders a year or two after are getting invited to the First Mile events before us....
I still haven't seen a Rivian in person and people that placed an order a full year+ after me are not only getting invited to First Mile events, but getting their deliveries. That's frustrating.

And it's all because I am sticking with the Max Pack (which, was originally supposed to be produced first and take priority over large pack orders).

Same here. I reserved in 2019 and bypassed a LE to go with the Max Pack. Was never contacted about changing to move up nor have I received any invites to any First Mile Events. The latter part is the one that bothers me the most. Not sure what is holding that up.

I believe they intend to add updated timelines to profiles within the week so that's probably what i'd wait for.

So my pricing was updated last week but STILL no delivery window. I sent Rivian an email and requested an update. No reply. So today I called them and asked how can I be a 2018 pre-order customer and STILL not even have a delivery window when others who ordered after me already have a truck. I got a very scripted...."I do understand and apologize, I see that you are "eligible" for an ealry 2022 delivery but you have not yet been assigned a delivery window. We will contact you when we have an expected delivery window for you". When I pressed the issue as to how I could have 2018 pre-order and still not even have a delivery window he just repeated......."I do understand and apologize, I see that you are....."

So, in other words, I am screwed and I need to shut up and wait until they get to me.

I have to tell you, this may be it for me. I waited patiently through years of delays, I stayed true through the price increases, and now I have seen others receive their trucks who ordered AFTER me and I am the one that told them about Rivian to begin with. This may be the last straw for me. I may just keep my F150 and get in line for a Ford Lightening. At this rate, I will get it before I get this damn thing anyway. Major FAIL again Rivian.

They told me it was going to be later this year (spoke with them on Sunday, yesterday)

No one would blame you for bailing after all of that. It would certainly be justified. I do think you are wrong when you say you would get a Lightning before getting your Rivian though..... I believe there have been others who switched back to the large pack from the max and they got moved up the line pretty quickly. After waiting that long it seems stupid of me to tell you to "hang in there" a little longer but it seems like you are at that point now. Just in the last month the number of forum members receiving trucks has jumped significantly. Most of those were Launch Editions, but now they appear to be getting to regular Adventure models, which makes me think you could get it fairly soon.

They said that your delivery would be "later this year"? Well, that's more information than I got out of them. All I got was that I am "eligible for early 2022" and considering that it is April I feel like that ship already sailed. May I ask when did you place your pre-order?

If you already have a reservation on a Lightning I'd pull the trigger when you get the call (assuming you haven't already) even knowing the timing is likely later next year. Without a reservation you're likely to see the Rivian first. I'm no expert but with the R1S guides just starting to reach out I'm skeptical Max packs are coming before the end of 2022 at best.

I switched from the Max Pack to the standard back in November when they told me that doing so would put my delivery in "early 2022". That's why this is so frustrating. It is now almost mid-2022 and I do not even have a delivery window, let alone a truck.

sorry, I was referring to @Mysta's comment about our account pages getting an update to show delivery timeline.

My preorder was Nov 2021, so I'm not expecting a delivery this year. They did tell me that my current queue's delivery window is expected for Q2/Q3 2023 tho.

It sound like a lot of people here were reached out by the production folks at least 5mo prior to their delivery window notifying start of production. But there is always that chance some people cancel the pre-order at the last minute and the car goes to the next person in line with the same or similar config.

Sorry, reading comprehension is poor today apparently. Sucks all around but I guess all you can do is wait or pull you deposit.
