Anyone know of suction cups that work with the dish stand? It would be nice to stick the dish on the roof without fear of scratching or breaking it.

The sad news is you used to be able to use it in motion but they blocked it with the latest firmware update.

Power consumption is not small on this thing either at least when compared to a hotspot.

RV setup just allows you to use in any state, but not in motion

I‘m also waiting for the day that Starlink is allowed for vehicles in motion!

I can confirm it worked on a Vessel in motion this time last year from 75°N down to 25°N.

I can't speak to any firmware changes making this more difficult.

My fiber provider just raised their rates (again) so I intend to use Starlink as a bargaining tool. If push comes to shove... I have no love for my cable co and would even pay more monthly just to take business away from them.


EDIT: well it worked..... I asked for the customer retention dept. right off the bat to save time and aggravation and mentioned Starlink so they lowered my $89/month fiber rate to $68/month for 12 months

And with camp mode, you can leave it on all the time.

Which specific option in camp mode leaves it on? Do I have to put it in Stay On mode? Guess I could do that then turn off displays and cooling. I just want the hotspot to stay on. Wondering if there is an option just for that.

Yes, stay on mode. They don't break out what things can be left enabled, I'm guessing it's not architected that way.
