I just installed mine and it looks and works great (I went with the Apple MagSafe chargers).

I don't know if anyone has mentioned the increased range but the old unit weighs 2lbs and this is considerably lighter.

A few questions while I wait (#99) for those that have already installed the StowNCharge:

Did you choose the JSAUX pucks or the Apple OEM? Do the Apple fit as well as the JSAUX? I know the Apple are faster, but I'm wondering if the plate is designed to better fit the JSAUX.

Did you use 2-sided tape to keep the mat down? If not, does the mat come up at all when removing the phone? If you used the tape, is it obvious where to put it?

Either puck fits perfectly.

I've never had it budge when picking up my phone. I believe the vast majority of customers haven't added tape and don't have concerns. For people that really want it STUCK down there is a picture here: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/posts/342209/

I put a JSAUX on driver side and Apple on passenger side. JSAUX has slightly more magnetic strength. For regular use, I will use JSAUX. If I need max charge, I will use Apple.

I add two, one inch strips of double sided tape. No movement now. Mostly OK w/o it but it did lift up fairly easy.

Interesting.. I've been using Apple so maybe the weaker magnet doesn't cause that. I'm going to try out putty again. I like it as a solution with AdventureMat as it holds well but removes a little easier IMO.

My case also has magnets in it. Not sure how much that increases the pull strength.

As a note, I removed the charger after a day or so, with the two, one inch strips and it still came out fairly nicely for me. I definitely would not recommend, nor should you need, a real long strip.

I have one Apple and one JSAUX. (Because it's what I had.) I can't tell the difference from "above." Once installed, there is no way to tell. They have the same magnetic hold, and at least in my small testing, no difference in speed. (Although in theory the Apple should be faster - I haven't had a "phone was low, and enough time to tell" yet.)

Installed mine with Apple Magsafe pucks and I have a magnetic case on my phone - the fit seems snug enough that I won't be be needing double-sided adhesive, but we'll see how things go as the temperature cools down and things start to contract.

Just installed the retrofit Kit. Installation video was very clear and didn’t take more than 10 minutes. Nice to have USB ports back and not have to use splitters for the dashcam.

i really like mine a lot, I am using the apple chargers. I used 2 thin strips of double tape but the fit is so good I don’t think they are needed. Great product.

Can you give us an update of where you are on your list, where you anticipate getting to before your vacation, and then when you’ll be back?

We are all excited for this product (I am anyway) and just want to know what to expect over the next few weeks!

You should be able to check your current spot on the list if you visit the product page and login.

I pushed and did two batches last week (I believe about 26 units) because I wanted to get them in customers hands before I leave.

I am hesitant shipping out any more before I leave as they won't arrive in customers hands till after I'm gone. So, you'll see a big batch the week of July 9th. Sorry to disappoint!
