Are you 100% sure that Hubbell 14-50 is made in the US?

Reason I ask is I recently had dinner with two engineers that work there, and we had a conversation about their Chinese factories.

The Hubbell web site says it is made in USA. It is stamped on the device as well. I have no reason to believe Hubbell is lying and violating FTC laws.

To be fair, hey don't claim "100% made in America" and the Buy America(n) Qualified just means it meets the domestic content thresholds required for use in projects funded under Buy America / Buy American Act rules. It generally means the final assembly happens in the U.S. and a required percentage of component cost is domestic — but it doesn't necessarily mean every single component or raw material originates in the U.S. So they could certainly have factories/sourcing from overseas. Additionally, the "made in China" comment, if true, might apply to other things in Hubble's catalog.

Haha, same here. I just had an L2 charger installed in the garage... but it just sits there in a garage of ICE vehicles for the time being.
