I’m sure it’s been posted, but having trouble finding it, so here’s the steps:

Turn on service mode from your settings menu (I think in the ā€˜system’ area). Tap top menu bar 5 times, swipe up on app launcher to find the RiDE icon, tap 5 times on the Thomas Edison quote, then enter code 33748.

There is a BMS section that should give you the SOH (state of health) of your battery among other things.
Not sure if this works too but ChatGPT says this...

Service Mode on a Rivian vehicle
To enter Service Mode on a Rivian vehicle, you need to follow these steps:

1. Tap on the three-dot icon on the bottom bar of the Rivian's infotainment system.
2. Tap on the top black bar five times.
3. Tap on the three-dot icon again.
4. Tap the "R" (Ride) icon that appears.
5. A quote from John Muir will appear on the screen. Tap the screen a few times after this.
6. A PIN ask will then appear. Enter the PIN 7433 (RIDE), and you will be in Service Mode.

Sounds to me like it’s giving you the towing mileage reading.
But he isn't towing. And still getting reduced range.

Can you list steps or give me a reference to going to service mode to see SOC?

I know. Saying it’s a software issue where it thinks is towing.

From ChatGPT...

If you believe someone is about to experience a strong emotional reaction or a breakdown, it's important to approach the situation with sensitivity and care. Here's what you can post or say:

1. **Reassurance**: Let them know they are not alone and that you are there to support them. Phrases like "I'm here for you" or "You're not alone in this" can be comforting.

2. **Encouragement**: Encourage them to express their feelings. Saying something like "It's okay to feel upset, and I'm here to listen if you want to talk about it" can be helpful.

3. **Resources for Help**: If the situation seems severe, it might be useful to provide information about professional help, such as contact details for mental health services or hotlines.

4. **Positive Affirmations**: Sharing positive affirmations can sometimes help. Phrases like "You're strong and capable of getting through this" can be empowering.

5. **Distraction**: Sometimes, offering a distraction can be helpful. This could be in the form of a light-hearted joke, an interesting fact, or an invitation to do something enjoyable.

Remember, everyone is different, so it's important to tailor your response to what you know about the person and their particular situation. Always prioritize listening and understanding over trying to fix the problem.

What does service menu say for your current capacity? Can you jump in that screen and send a picture of the full read out?

Yes, I am a she? and an engineer who loves to figure it out! That’s why I like our Rivian. You have to really engage with this vehicle. So many opportunities for calculations.

The passenger can access it while it's in motion! Come on, live life on the edge and show us your data!
Life on the edge? We haven’t been above 10 miles upon arrival at any of our charging stops yesterday and today! So many stops, it’s like I’m driving a Chevy Bolt?

That's exactly when you Should view it and take a pic, it'll show actual charge and capacity and will help troubleshoot.

Hi @OnePedaler, were you estimating the reduced battery capacity based on the DCFC display of how much energy has gone in or the truck’s ā€œenergyā€ display? Or do the two agree approximately?

As far as I know, this is the first time anyone has posted this kind of issue(sudden capacity loss). An odd and maybe concerning thing about your issue is that the battery seems to have lost half the capacity suddenly without diagnostic or fault messages showing up.

good luck to you and I hope service can get you back up to full range.
