Scissor sisters getting ready?

How about just greet/wave however you wish? Must we ritualize, standardize and conform like drones of some cult?
are you giving up on your great idea? LOL
we don't have to do anything but I liked that Jeep wave vibe and i thought it'd be nice to distinguish ourselves from others...you don't get a Rivian just to get an EV...you kinda embrace the "adventure" that comes with it...anyway...just my 2 cents

Clearly we need a poll and a focus group to figure this out.

I flash a sign language “R”.

Its simple, unique and looks like wave at first glance but has more subtext.

And no light flashing please. Even a quick flash of the hazards can distract other drivers.

I laughed way too hard at this. So what is it if your like me and your power tonneau still works?

as someone who owned a Wrangler in the past (and will hopefully take R1S delivery soon, with Aug-Sept '23 window) I love the idea of a wave. fumbling for switches sounds to me like too much of a distraction so I'm down for just a simple acknowledgement.

Feels like we're making this too hard. Why not just hold up one finger (index finger) and when the R2 models come out they hold up two fingers. Casual waves for R1 and R2 owners.
EDV drivers can hold up three fingers sideways ;)

I just throw a shacka! ?

...But who am I kidding? Since I've had my R1T, I've seen 4 other Rivians on the road. The first one we both honked and waved (in the same lane). The other 3 were either in another lane across a median or off in the distance and turned in a direction I wasn't going, so whether or not they even saw me is a question.

I had an old FJ40 and did the "LC" hand gesture to other owners all the time. It did feel like a secret club.
