I live in central Ohio, and it can get snowy and slippery, but not necessarily a ton (depends on the fickle midwestern weather). Through an advantageous error I got my R1T with both a set of 20" and 21" wheels and tires. I have put 11.5k miles on the road wheels (21") and am considering putting the AT tires on for the winter.
I got a cost from the Service Center to have this done at a previously scheduled mobile service appointment. The cost to swap the tires (~60) is not bad at all, but the cost to reprogram the truck is $160!, which puts the final cost around $237 after tax.
I have never had a vehicle that I would change wheels depending on the season, and I am wondering if it is worth the $500/year to plan on doing this.
All thoughts and opinions are welcome!
