has anyone clarified with Rivian if the at-home option is for any location or just the cities the tour is stopping in? My guess is the cities the tour is stopping in, but I hope I’m wrong.

I read it to be for those that can't or don't want to attend the tour events. The tour events are a beast unto themselves with no spare time to fan out to surrounding individuals.

I asked this question to them on Facebook and they responded that the at-home test drives are for any location and not tied to the tour cities.

I'll actually be pretty close to wherever the seattle location will be. I'll ask them to see if we test drive both vehicles away from crowds though, as we pin down which of the 2 vehicles we want to order.

I plan on driving down to Detroit (3.5 hrs) for the event there - really want to see a variety of colors in person. My R1T LE order is 6612 so hopefully the Guide will be contacting me relatively soon after the August event...

Events "Kicking off in August" does not mean all events will be in August (or occur on Aug 1st for that matter as some are inclined to infer).
The job descriptions for the events state that the tour will last 4 months


Responsibilities

• Participate in a 4-month travelling demonstration drive tour program with 100% travel within the United States. Some candidates may be considered for Canadian event support at a later date
• Operate tour program 4-6 days a week on foot and outdoors with travel to and from site locations
• Act as the lead for tour team including product specialists, vehicle specialists, security, and other event day vendors ensuring that all staff members deliver a quality experience to our guests

Of course - but I'm using 'August event' as a time marker for whenever that happens - since that is all we know at this point. No point in finalizing my order with a Guide before I actually see the vehicle and colors, etc.

Anything anyone is specifically see at the events? I know @DucRider said he wanted to see how different wheels perform. And obviously the colors. I'm super curious to get an idea of the "feel" of each car. I went into my first test drive of a model 3 thinking I'd love it, and was super let down by what I'd felt like a lack of connection with the car personally. I want to get a better idea as to how the bed size feels in person, especially with the tailgate down. And finally, the video of RJ driving around in the snow made it look like he barely fit. Which doesn't seem right given the dimensions, but I want to make sure the cab dimensions fit like I expect them to.
