The Count's Nipples Recall Appointment

Backup light recall is scheduled two months out. 7 hour round trip required as they seem unable to add nipples via mobile service. No word on if The Count can simply wait or if they will keep his S for days/weeks/etc. Not willing to provide loaner. SAD!

They did mine via mobile service.
The large rear protective cover under the vehicle has to be removed. Make sure fresh loctite is applied to the cover bolts (or do it yourself). Paint marker bolt head positions as well for easy visual inspection after your adventures.

Had mine replace by mobile. But it was combined with something else. Perhaps they won’t make the trip just for this. No bumper disassembly required.

They performed the work for this recall on my R1S before I could drive it off the service center lot in April. It took less than 30 minutes for them to complete the work.

I got mine upgraded via a mobile appointment (they were fixing some else). It took only half an hour.

I would simply not do it. Let them keep contacting you. At least till some other reason to actually deal with Chicago. Menomonee Falls is supposedly not too far out....much more pleasant I believe for you to go then, than deal with Chicago.

Yeah when I lived in WI I avoided Chicago if I could avoid it. Except for flights, much better to fly out of O'Hare.

Agree. And even better is Dane County Regional, but limited destinations for sure.

Yeah I went to O'Hare to get direct flights to most destinations. I lives pretty close to Dane county but in my experience regionals don't have much in the way of destinations.
