The big arse Frunk..

BTW, features I can do without:
  • Glass roof
  • The “Dynamic” feature of the more expensive glass roof because I still have to have a glass roof. Seriously I just have it set to the darker setting (which isn’t dark enough) and I leave it there.
  • Space Saver spare tire (the R1S should have a full sized tire)
  • Split opening arm rest cover with a power button. A single panel opening with a manual button would have been perfectly fine here.
  • The lack of power outlets anywhere near the dash because I have to mount my phone on the dash to make up for the fact that Rivian doesn’t offer CARPLAY and has yet to replicate CARPLAY features like voice to text or a fully functional Apple Music client. That is a feature, right? You knew I was going to go there..

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.
Mine isn't even tech-related: The Gear Tunnel

I use it every day, either putting my tennis bag in there, storing my discs for disc golf, groceries, or sometimes, a few cases of craft beer:

I would think this would be the #1 can’t-live-without feature for an R1T.

I wanted to win an R1T at the CCAN EV raffle and then use the Gear Tunnel as a place for our cats on long trips. Put the litter boxes down there. Then they could pop back out in the cabin through that pass-through in between the rear passenger seats.

So what I’m saying is that the Gear Tunnel could double as a poop tunnel.

In the assisted driving mode, when the R1T will change the lanes when I turn on the turn signal! LOVE THAT! To me, that's like the ultimate party trick!

I love the monthly OTA updates. There’s almost always some feature that makes my R1S new again. And I never get tired of using the frunk at the grocery store. Never fails to draw attention and the occasional conversation. That, and the extra space it provides.

Solid examples of places where the balance between design aesthetic and utility could have used a nudge in the other direction. I see several of these and think of "the cup holder problem". They aren't sleek and sexy, but you rarely hear someone complaining that they have too many.

It’s crazy how many features and how much tech trucks have gained over the last decade, yet some stand out more than others.

For us, auto-leveling is one of those features that never stops being useful (or fun to show off). Whether it’s setting up camp on uneven ground or just enjoying the stability, it always brings a smile.

What’s the one Rivian feature you never get tired of using?
Pet Mode in Corpus Christi saves the day. I’m my own best dog!

835 hp - for fun and for towing
frunk - it's great to have a storage area outside of the cabin. I use it a fair amount for trash bag hauling during/after camping/boating/etc. activities.

It's got to be the seat memory, which hardly ever works correctly...

Hey there! Did someone say something about cats?

I've never actually put a litter box in mine, but I can promise that 100% of the cats I've introduced to my Rivian love going in the tunnel.

Almost as much as the little buggers enjoy flopping down on the glass roof. 😹😹
