originally had grey/OC offroad wheels.
then moved to white/black interior after test drive that exact config in april and thought i could get it faster. thats what i'm getting friday. i had wife acceptance on this one also.
kinda wish i was limestone/black or limestone/oc or rust/oc or other color combos i never saw in person before locking in my config, but those are not yet wife approved.

buyers remorse is my default setting unfortunately.

Any of you guys waiting for delivery at South SF have their 8th step open up? I'm still waiting. Our guide seems to think there might be something that needs to be repaired on our truck but hasn't been confirmed. If I had to guess there was probably 15-20 recently delivered R1's outside the service center Saturday morning. Understandably turn around times could be lengthy...especially if there were more trucks inside.

Broken bones suck...I broke my hand riding in Skeggs last year. Never fun. Took forever to heal too. For all the stupid stuff I've done on the bike I basically broke it falling over.

My 8th step isn’t open either. Hitting reload isn’t helping, despite my many attempts.

My guide said this morning that the truck just went into PDI, so it might just be a capacity / queuing issue. The South SF center is hopping with people and trucks for sure.

Got my VIN on Oct 17, and apparently delivery should happen end of November (SF bay area). No idea whether the truck is on a train yet.

I have not been a fan of the candy apple red cars, but the Canyon Red is anything but and looks great in person. Kind of a chameleon of orange/red. Limestone looks great also. I went with Rivian Blue. Going to drive by today on my way to White Labs to get some cider yeast. Hoping to see mine on the lot and get step 8 opened s00n!!

A bit confused why people's 8 steps havent opened up yet, and a nod to the inconsistencies with Rivian. But my 8 steps opened up immediately after getting the email (10/10) and logged in to see my VIN. I wasn't told that the vehicle was in transit until ~4 days after the 8 steps opening up. Looks like some folks are told their vehicles have arrived but haven't had 8 steps open up? I'm sure those folks would appreciate the extra time needed to complete the 8 steps!

I should clarify, my 8 steps opened up back on September 30th when I was assigned a vin. It’s specifically the 8th step of the 8 (schedule delivery) that I’m waiting to unlock. I believe several others are in this same boat.

Not El Segundo, but I am waiting for delivery from Costa Mesa, which should be relatively the same. VIN and 8 Steps recieved on 10/10 and was told in transit shortly after. Sounds like train made it everwhere in CA except SoCal! ?

@countab45 is getting his delivery today in San Diego. I got my VIN the same day as him. Mine left on the same train on 10/12. I am also San Diego. They tell me mine is still in transit. Maybe they have a holding location somewhere as not to overwhelm the SC ?‍
