Timing from R1 Shop -> Delivery?

Awesome, what config R1T? Yes, please keep me updated, I assume I would be about 1 week behind you.

My Ford Lightning took about 14 days to go from Michigan to Portland. I assume it would be about the same for Rivian.

Rivian Blue, Ocean coast, quad/large, 20” AT. I originally had the 21’s ordered but this popped up in the shop and everything else matched so I pulled the trigger! VIN 219XX.

I locked in an R1S from the shop last Sunday and my guide told me this morning that I was in transit to the Capitol Heights SC.

Selected a vehicle in the shop on 4/7. My guide confirmed the vehicle was in transit to the service center on 4/13. On 4/11 I got an email that my charger was being shipped, and I just received it today, 4/14. I’m hoping rail will take 7-10 days to Portland….we will see.

I just reserved a R1T yesterday. What are the chances I get invited to the R1 shop? Would love to get into one sooner rather than 1-10 months from now...

We put in our reservation in December. Got invited to configure on March 14th, and then invited to the R1 Shop on March 17th. We were waffling about whether to wait on the Max Pack or not, so we didn't pull the trigger on any of the available trucks. Wish we had....

We finally decided this week that it wasn't worth the wait and I followed the R1 Shop link I'd browsed before, but it now gives a 404. =/

Reached out to our Guide to see if it'll be coming back, but she's out for two weeks so I guess we practice patience.

I was debating on waiting until the invite or buying a used launch edition… I found one for just a tick over 80k. Launch Green, AT 20s…. I think I’m going to pull the trigger on that one.

Portland is also my service center. I ordered an R1T from the shop on 3/29/23, found out a few days later that it was still in Normal. Supposedly last week it was shipped and is currently on a train somewhere but I’m told it will be several weeks before it ready for delivery. I’ll update the timeline when I know more…

Apparently my R1T was in Oregon as of Monday 4/17 so I got my hopes up, but today my guide said it has still not arrived at the service center, maybe next week. I guess it’s just sitting in a train yard somewhere in Portland?

I reserved an R1T on Jan 30th (2023) expecting it would take a year. I has not...
I was invited to configure on March 30th, which I did on that day. FG/FE Quad, large pack, 22 brights. I live in Los Angeles 15 miles from an SC. Got a guide the next day. Did the first mile that weekend.
I was then given access to the R1 shop on 4/5, which I looked at everyday. Some trucks were similar, but not my exact want.
THEN on 4/10 the exact configuration appeared in the shop. I contacted my guide (Alicia, shout out, she is great) and asked her how this could be. She told me that it should not happen for an identical truck to be in the shop that I could see. She assumed it was a glitch and the truck was actually not available. She was going to talk to the marketing team about it. In the meantime I tried to grab the truck. The first crack at it and I was denied and it stated the truck was no longer avail. Alicia told me that is what she thought would happen. But I tried again, and success! Instantly got the vin and the 8 steps. I had ordered the home charger, and that arrived at my house 2 days later. My local SC contacted me this last Friday (4/21) letting me know the truck has left Normal and was on its way. They give me 3-5 weeks for delivery at this point.
I was surprised the truck was coming from the factory, I assumed since it showed up in my shop it may have been closer at another SC, but was told for sure it was at the factory.

I went back through my (recent) email. I think it was about a week from the time I chose one of the vehicles in the R1 Shop (2 weeks after my reservation) that they told me my Rivian was ready for delivery (it wasn't). I still had to go through the loan application and fill out a bunch of paperwork, which took a few days. Then it took a few more days for it to get to the Service Center in Richmond, VA, and a couple of days for them to finish the pre on it. Still, my original reservation was at the beginning of March 2023, and I picked it up on the 31 March 2023. Being flexible on your reservation helps speed things up. I still got the wheel/tires I had choosen, and the external color. I changed the interior color (which I had mixed feelings on my original choice anyway), and I got the underbody offroad shield, which I had wanted, but chose not the put in my original reservation. So overall, pretty much exactly what I wanted.

I selected an R1T from the shop on April 12th and am scheduled to take delivery on Saturday April 29th in Massachusetts. I could have picked it up as early as today April 27th. Hope you take delivery soon.

I selected my R1S on April 9th from the shop and it was delivered to my house on April 25th. Much faster than I expected (not that I'm complaining).

Was yours in Normal or at your local SC? if it was in normal, how long did shipping take?
