Is anyone else getting this error while attempting to update to the latest version.

Maybe it's due to the imminent release of 2024.07.03 update that it's preventing you from updating to this older release ?‍♂

Probably. There was another thread reporting.02 could no longer be installed. I installed.03 last night.

ON EDIT: I see you are currently on .02.

Worst case scenario...

I had a similar issue last year. I don't remember the exact percentage, but every update would make it to ~7%, hang for a while, and eventually error out. It ended up being a "communication module."
I had no other "communication" related issues and drove the truck for several months while waiting on service. The cameras started becoming glitchy and would randomly stop working for days at a time, which was also resolved by replacing the communication module.

I updated from 03.2 to 07.3 with no issue. I misread the screen shot and thought the OP might have been trying to install 07.2 but realized the screen shot showed his current install. I suppose he could have been trying to install 07.2 which he probably can’t do.

We installed it on Saturday afternoon when we got home. We knew we weren't going anywhere for a couple days so we started it and it was successful. Don't know how long it took (usually in the past it was about 90 mins.).

I now have to read what the updates were

I contacted support and they asked me to reboot. That didn't help. They opened a ticket for me and said someone will be in touch. A day later I got a meessage (from Rivian app) that the update was successful. Rivian also sent me a text message saying that it was fixed.
I was trying to figure out what caused this. I think it's related to camp mode. I remember putting the truck in camp mode and then turned the camp mode off but didn't drive the truck for reset the ride height. Once I got a chance to drive the truck and the ride height got reset, that allowed the update to complete. It does look like that after several failed attempts the update then requires a call to Rivian for them to so something and allow another attempt.

Hi - i know this is an older thread/reply but my Gen2 R1S has done the same thing with the recent 2024.51.01 update. Failed 3x at the same ~7%. They called saying I need to take it into the SC for them to diagnose - which may take several days. Sucks because the last update went perfectly - probably done within 25 mins.

Curious how long it took them to replace your communication module?

The Richmond, VA service center had my truck for over 5 weeks (it sat idle on the lot for 4 weeks of that). There were several other tickets addressed at the same time, but the invoice states labor time as 7 hours for the module on my Gen 1.
It'll likely depend on the SC; I've never been impressed with the Richmond SC.

Wow...that's insane. The Orlando, FL has the same issue with queue backlog as well. Any problems with it since then?

Yeah, I believe they're all fairly backed up. Richmond has terrible communication, which was my primary issue. I was promised a 1 week turnaround and rearranged flights to/from a conference so I could drop off the day I left, then pick up when I landed in Richmond on the return and drive 3 hours home. To my surprise, it hadn't been touched when I got back.
They did provide me with another Rivian as a loaner, but only after I had to argue with them. Off my soapbox... Apparently I'm still bitter after 14 months ?

No other issues with any of the communication modules since then; knock on wood.
