So does that actually go on the outside of the truck? I don't see it mounted that way but from the text it seem like it.

Thanks. That helps. It doesn't look as horrid as I thought it would. ;) This might be an interesting option and 115W would actually be usable when off grid.

Probably not car wash safe, but I never use them anyway.

I do like the idea here. So do you put on the Vinyl "decal" and then double sided tape the panel to it? Or silicon glue it to the decal? It's not clear to me how that works.

I'm averaging a little under 2 kWh loss in 24 hours. Mounted under the tinted glass roof may yield 25 watts with perfect sun angle. I'm guessing average days I may get 100 usable watt hours out of this. Which would result in a reduction of total aggregate daily net loss by 5%. Am I missing something?

I do think you'll need quite a bit more solar than 100Wh a day to keep the 12v topped off, but you don't need the full 2000wh (=2kWh)

If the vehicle stays asleep from the 12v being topped off it should lose much less than 2kWh while sleeping. When the vehicle wakes up it burns ~500+ additional watts. So if it stays asleep longer it saves that energy.

My R1 used about 400Wh yesterday on the tender.

That would work but you could build that yourself about 5x for that price.
