Vandalism on Rivian - sharing for awareness

Hi Everyone,

Keep an eye out for this guy. This happened at Topanga Village before the mall opened, while I was at my appointmen. When i reciewed the other videos and my drive cam if he was following me. I found out that he's the car next to me when i parked. He got in his car and 2 minutes later, when he was leaving the lot, he stopped at my car just to put dents and scratches. ?. I filed a police report already, but I'm not so hopeful that he will get my car fix. I just hope that he won't do this to others. And sadly, my quote for the fix is over 5k. Please be careful everyone

That is a pretty clear pic and that guy is fairly recognizable. I would file a police report and also put it out there on Next Door in the area where it happened. I hate ND but this is what it is SUPPOSED to be used for.

I would post this on Nextdoor. I don’t really like that app but I found someone who damaged my Tesla in a day after posting it. This was in Sherman oaks so I’m sure people would be just as helpful.

what a douche. At least you know his neck is warm. Was he using that scarf and wig as a disguise? Did the police say they could I.D. Him? I’m in California, so laws here would support his motivation to harm people better off than himself, which for him, is basically everyone else on earth. Sorry this happened to you.

I agree. The worst thing about Nextdoor are the daily users who pick over every little thing. The best thing about Nextdoor are the daily users who will hunt him down like a rabid dog.

He's driving a Prius, not a random vehicle. He probably has a job.

While there is no excuse for his actions, you gotta wonder about the motivations. Some form of mental illness, perhaps, or are you parked in a spot reserved for disabled people without an identifying license plate or placard? Unstable people can lose it over that.
