Verbiage changed in-app

It’s just the app update. My reservation date is April 1, 2026, and the verbiage changed after I updated the app today. We’re too keen to see any sign from Rivian gods

I'm guessing this is an android vs iphone situation. I'll check my iPhone tonight to see what it says. My android says congrats. Or it could just be randomized.

Makes sense people near the factory would get early delivery. Or anyone that sees "your r2 is almost here" are rivian employees


I own an r1 launch. Day one r2 reservation holder. Don't work for rivian. Confirmed interest in r2. Based in NV. Still see congrats.

I asked my Rivian friend who's getting an R2 through the employee program, his says "your R2 is almost here" but up top it says "R2 Reservation" where mine just says "R2"

I was just asking the AI on Rivian's site about when day 1 / Launch Edition wanting / major market reservation holders (like me) might get our R2's, and it shared back a timing tidbit, which I haven't seen elsewhere:

Rivian hasn’t shared exact delivery timing for individual reservation holders yet, even for those at the very front of the line. More details about configuring your R2 and your estimated delivery window will be shared in your Rivian account in June.

So it seems that we shouldn't expect any real movement or usable timing news until June. Bummer.

Like others have said, this change in the app is probably just a generic refresh for those who have updated the app, supported by the AI saying this when I asked about my reservation screen changing to "Your R2 is almost here":

Sometimes, Rivian updates messaging in the app to reflect excitement as production gets closer or to keep reservation holders engaged, but there hasn't been an official announcement about this particular change.

It's probably an Android vs iOS thing. I have a very early day one reservation, am a current R1 owner and mine still says "congratulations"

Yes, probably random. I am first month (but not day 1) reservation holder, not a current owner and on the east coast. But mine has the new "your R2 is almost here."

I just updated my app and it switched. You can now swipe between vehicles as well. Pretty slick.
