Waiting game never ends

Hi,

My preorder date is September 2019. I was contacted by guide on May 9th saying the truck is ready and got VIN assigned(Launch green with black). I signed my PBA and 8 step process opened on the 10th. I am originally have Texas address but happened to move to Boston and now switched my delivery to Boston. Completed my 8 step process in 2 days. I have been waiting since then. It's been 13 days since I did all 8 steps. Guide basically says no update. the last I heard is it is in transit. I am not sure what that means.

Anyone here has similar experience? What is the estimated time after vin assigned for you to get the truck?

PBA signed on 5/3, doing weekly check-ins with my guide

No 8 Step unlocked but apparently they have assigned me a vin in the internal system that needs to be built still

I'm thinking they'll operate similar to Tesla where they try to make quarterly numbers so as we near the end of Q2, they'll have additional movement

Be glad you're moved in the process at all, I guess? I got my guide contact on the 10th, signed PBA within minutes, and have not heard a peep since. I still don't have a VIN. I've got a pretty common config and am within minutes of the second-most-delivering SC in the country.

It's a bit maddening. I've not bothered pestering my guide, since I know I won't get another update until a VIN is assigned at the factory, and even then I'm expecting your experience - crickets until the truck hits the SC and goes through PDI.

Now it's May 24/22

I'm apparently going to get the Rivian delivered tomorrow after a couple of delays and cancelled delivery dates.

My preorder was Nov/2018.

There’s serious issues in their system when you change your address. Not sure if it applies to actual truck delivery, but definitely impacts accessory delivery. You’ll need to make sure your guide double and triple checks this for you or your stuff will ship to the wrong place. Hopefully your truck doesn’t!

I’m on about the same schedule as you, and my truck is being delivered today.

Lastly, I’m assuming Step 8 is not complete yet. Otherwise you would not be wondering.

Feb 2019 Pre-Order – LE with OC Interior

4.14.2022 – contacted by my guide

4.25.2022 – OC interior delayed – change config with my guide to different interior

5.9.2022 – R1T with new config located – VIN assigned – paperwork signed

Few days later – guide informed me that “we lost that truck” – never really got a solid answer on what that meant

5.17.2022 – new R1T identified and being build in Normal

5.24.2022 – re-signed docs with new VIN – and told to stand-by for contact by the service center for delivery (Cleveland in my case)


I tend to agree with you…..a bit of a bumpy, fits & starts process.

I just got update from my guide saying the truck got stuck in Normal,IL dure to technical issues and it will start to ship this week.?

No useful updates since ?

I texted my guide this morning and he said the truck is in transit and will reach Boston next Monday., 2 hours later I got a text from delivery person that my truck arrived and asked for delivery time. Soo weird. And now I have delivery scheduled it will be on Monday June 6th . Looking forward. Anyone here in MA please ping me. I am looking for insurance and Rivian won't sell insurance in MA.
