1st Gen R1S. Latest software update for car, latest iOS, latest app, etc. I did a reset in the car (left button + hazard) and reinstalled the app without success. Generally, everything is working. GPS navigation, GPS sensing for garage doors, pretty much everything seems normal EXCEPT:

In the app: If I go to the Location tile the car is not in the right place. As in it's not even in the correct state. It is a place I have been to before. I know I parked there once -- ate at a restaurant -- but it is not where the car is currently and it also says the car is parked at home. (It is about 15 minutes from a previous home address and about 1,000 miles from the current home location)

TezLab is weird too. For example: it says my last drive was 11min long and went for 3.7 miles. Okay, that sounds about right. But if you look at the A/B start stop they are both the same location and probably that same location that the Rivian app is saying where the car is 1,000 miles away.

Describing this it seems like the issue is somewhere on the Rivian servers and not in the car or the app.

Anyone ever see this before?

Try toggling your location settings in the Rivian, not the iOS app. The last software release has been buggy.

Interesting. It might have worked. I toggled all the precision location options on the Rivian itself. It now knows the correct location on the app! It will be interesting to see if it remains correct on my next drive.

Did that fix it for you? Ever since the hot fix for the permission issues, where I had to turn them all back on, the app has been a dumpster fire. Wrong location, showing driving when I’m not, no cloud connection constantly, not locking when I walk away, not locking remotely, etc.

Rivian Roamer also hasn’t updated any drives for me in about 2 weeks.

Amazingly it has been stable after toggling ALL precision locations on vehicle. Tezlab is happy too. So weird this started to fail in a random parking lot at a restaurant in NJ about a month ago. It’s not like I installed an update while parked there.

This is a bug since the buggy update that was "patched" with the last update. I've had this since the update, it may go away for a bit but then gets stuck at some random location where the truck stopped for a bit. I happened to run across a couple of the Rivian software engineers in Canyonlands National Park (they were driving an R2 to Calif. from the factory) and I showed them the issue. They had me open a service ticket. My appointment is for tomorrow. I am not holding my breath that the local SC is going to be able to solve any of this though.l as this is probably just software bugs. I will post results after they look at things.
