I live at the bottom of a gravel driveway with somewhere around a 12% grade. I took delivery of some flooring yesterday, and then had to pull the tractor/trailer back up the driveway with my R1T. His rig wasn't at all heavily loaded, he just had no traction. He also insisted his diffs were locked, but they weren't acting like it.

He left very impressed. I love my tow hooks!

You did what?! Any pics?
Sadly, no. I was home alone at the time, and we were focused on dragging him upward. No one to take pictures :(

Nice! 12% grade is pretty steep for an "off road" tractor trailer, but you would think he could have done it. Sounds like the gravel is not packed tightly in the soil?

If you have drivecam enabled, then you should have video of it on your flash drive.

Yeah, well... you know... you snag the SSD drive temporarily for something else, and it never gets put back. I'll fix that.

Correct. Sharp edged, but new and loose.

Impressive. Did you use reverse with the front tow hooks or attach to the trailer hit and drive forward?

Reversed. I wanted my eyes on him while we did it, and I figured the traction would be about the same either direction.

Makes sense - we don't have a gearbox so there is no advantage either way like an ICE truck with low reserve gearset. Nice work!
