An inch more sidewall than the 21's, so 2" more "tire" suspension would be significant and felt.I bought the steelies and put Nitto Terra Grappler G3s on them a year ago. Yes they are heavy but they ride better than the 21s and I think the extra weight and tread depth is helping dampening the jittery suspension.
Exactly. I still have my 21's and swap tires back and forth depending on weather and what I am doing. I can really feel the difference when towing with the 20's which are about 1 inch wider contact patch than the 21's. I have no way to test other than buying a lighter set of 20 inch wheels to see how much the rim weight is affecting the ride. Overall I like my setup and know that I can touch up the paint on the steelies if I scratch them going offroad. another funny thing about my setup is that the 20's stay upright after I take them off the truck and need to roll them into storage. The 21's are a pain to deal with because they fall over.An inch more sidewall than the 21's, so 2" more "tire" suspension would be significant and felt.

I am at 42k miles on my 6 tire 21's rotation and am trying to decide what to replace 4 of them them with. I prefer the highway feel/noise of the 21s but the extra sidewall of the 20s is really nice around town to absorb small bumps which reduces the harshness. I will be sticking with my two sets of tires setup as I love being able to swap tire sets at home which is also when I rotate them.I'll be the rare one to say it: the 21s are the best tire option, now that the Michelins are available.
They are far more supple than the 22s, fit the wheel well correctly, are very efficient, and very quiet.
Aesthetics are up to you, of course. But having had all 3 options (+ AS on the 20" darks), I actually prefer the ride quality of the 21s over every other (22" sport, 20" AS, and 20" AT).

I just noticed there's a new Yokohama Geolandar A/T4 in the 21" size! My main motivation for ditching the 21s was to get an AT tire, but it sounds like we have at least one decent option now. I might actually go pick up a 5th 21" wheel from Craigslist and just roll with the 21s. Problem solved!I would like to have another set of 21's. I put the Michelin's on at 21k and they have been awesome. I was looking the other day and saw 5 different tire options for 21's. BTW, I took the covers off and bought the center caps. These wheels are fine for what I do. I haven't bought any because I'm kinda cheap. $200 seems kinda expensive.
If I wasn’t leasing, I’d be interested in trading my 21s. Due for a tire replacement soon now.I think there’s actually a market for them, especially for the owner that has AT/MT tires on the stock 20s and wants something more efficient.
Really? I hadn’t considered AS as an option for 20s just thought they’dAesthetics are up to you, of course. But having had all 3 options (+ AS on the 20" darks), I actually prefer the ride quality of the 21s over every other (22" sport, 20" AS, and 20" AT).
Do you still have the 21” wheels?I've had a set up for sale for $399.99 on this site for months, no bite.
