All cars I've ever owned up to my gen2 Rivian would have meant that my children could not escape the vehicle themselves through the rear doors because they had physical child locks. My gen2 Rivian is literally the only one they have any chance of doing it on if I have the locks engaged. This is something that NTSB should have banned. I am surprised Rivian built the R2 with this feature. I cant imagine how children or almost anyone could escape this car in an emergency the way the manual escape was implemented - espacially in the back seat. And really gave me pause about purchasing the car. Safety should come first...especially in a car focused on famiy adventure.
All this outrage over it is still just so laughable.
