Thank you for backing me with sources haha
Just so and not any bit more. Just wanted to cite your reference for others to move the conversation forward.

My sales guide recently said that they are aiming for 2d quarter of 2025 for the Quad Max. I’m hoping they are estimating conservatively and will be out sooner, but ultimately I’m OK with Spring if they at least meet the target. As one data point the Tri’s used to say 4-7 months out until all of a sudden they just said they are available now.

I don't mind waiting for Rivian to make it right, and not rush it out. I'm hoping that the Quad will come with the NACS port standard, so I can skip the CCS1 adapter headache. I wonder if the Tesla CCS to NACS adapter will work with the Rivian when that happens, or will there be new adapter hassles going from CCS1 to NACS at non-Tesla DCFC stations?

I understand the Gen2 Quad isn’t scheduled until 2025… but why so little information?

- Why would they allow Motor Trend to do a review of the Quad many months beforehand and why was that the ONLY place to give a hands-on review??
- Why can’t they say when it’s available for sale and what the range and cost is?

It would help Rivian greatly, especially now that the Lucid Gravity is for sale. I’ve been personally debating between the Tri-Motor and Quad but holding out on an order until I can learn more about the Quad. But it really strange that Rivian won’t release any info and just says “2025” without any indication if that’s January or December. Does anyone have any actual info? Come on Rivian, please let us know what’s going on.
You name says it all. Wait for the g2 quad. Sorry but the Gravity looks too much like a minivan to cross shop.

I suspect to really appreciate the differences of the Gen2 Quad vs Tri, you'll want to get the new S5 (?5S) Michelin rubber. I know I'm looking forward to it just for my Dual. But, I suspect it'll be the only way to nearly put down the power. 20" AT tires will be entirely outmatched for much of the improved HP range.

Curious... is your Quad on 20" AT's? I had a chance to ride in a new Ascend Quad as a passsenger and with wide quad offset width tires, it felt super planted. It also scared the crap out of me, but that has more to do with being on a public street, taking a full launch. I know our quad feels a little squirly when I launch on the AT's and a feels marginally better with the 22's.
I have a quad R1T that came with factory 22s and I recently switched to factory 20s. Both had factory tires too. I can definitely say, the wheel swap did instill more confidence off the line and in general driving. They are louder, but I drove lifted trucks much of my life so I actually like it. Shit, I would lift it and put 35s if I could. LOL

Anyway, I don't at all feel like the thing will come apart with acceleration but do agree the steering is sloppy and hard to control off the line. The gnarlier tread tires help tame that somewhat.

And for anyone that can't wait anymore, used quads are a good value especially if you can find one under 10k or even 5k miles. Carvana is where I got mine.
