I really like Launch Green, but with them wanting to charge for that color only, I am now leaning towards Catalina Blue. Additionally, my biggest complaint is with the lack of choice for interior color. I really don't want the black, but the Launch Edition pricing, with included autonomy, is too hard to pass up. I don't need the L4 capabilities. Point to point is good enough for what my family needs and hearing that the processor for the infotainment is improved was the only piece holding me off from potentially waiting.

Agree that the potential for L4 with the RAP1 is not a big enough reason to hold back. Rest of vehicle will be the same in March 2027 as it is in June 2026.

Odd that they would charge for launch green but not the other colors. Also could be clearer that all the other colors are included in the launch package - that is an additional value (amount I know at this time but probably $500+).

I like what you’re putting down. The two-tone look is sweet.

I think the plan was to export to Europe in 2027, but now that info has been removed. I think it all depends on US sales and the completion of the Georgia plant.
I heard 2028, due to the Georgia factory.

Man this poll making me wonder if I should go forest green over Catalina cove. Beautiful color but we’re all gonna be Catalina cove basic b****es, it seems….
I personally wanted launch green, but it's for my wife and so Catalina Cove it is.

Forest Green was what we had planned for our R1S, but then had an opportunity to get a Launch Edition with the upgraded wheels and the protective front wrap from the r1 shop for less. Only catch was that it was in white. So now we have a white R1S and honestly it looks better than I expected, especially with a chrome delete. But I still see forest greens around and dream about what could have been.

Catalina Cove looks great, but I wouldn’t mind falling back to forest green to match my original R1 plans. Launch Green looks great too and would be in the mix, but I’m in this for the lidar, so it wasn’t meant to be.

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.

Makes sense. I hope they get the R3 moving around the same time. It’s a lot to juggle for a startup. I have faith they’ll pull it off. The demand is there.

I’m surprised Catalina Cove is dominating every other color. Although I have to say I was going with Esker Silver until I saw Catalina Cove in Austin and think that will be my choice. Beautiful color!

It is one of the brightest colors as most of the others (such as Forest Green, Borealis) are quite dark.

Catalina Cove. If too expensive, or if not available at the time, Esker Silver is pretty nice.

IMO dark colors = heat, which means AC runs harder, uses more battery, and reduces range. I’d like someone out there to test my theory. We need a white Rivian and a dark colored Rivian(s) to drive the same course at the same speed on a hot day (80-90 degrees). No glass roof covers and vehicles have to sit out in the sun for several hours before driving.
