Here's the 18" setup... I'll try to get some better photos this weekend from different angles once the weather clears up. I'm putting the Skycamp Mini on top of this rack, but haven't mounted it yet.

At 18”, the over bed camera view is mostly blocked but the rear view mirror view is completely unobstructed.

Regarding the Skycamp Mini, iKamper states that the maximum crossbar span is 39”. The XO crossbar spread is 48”.

The Skycamp Mini mounting rails are 53” long. While I’m sure it could structurally span the 48” crossbars, it doesn’t give much fore and aft adjustment (less than 2”). I know I want to slide the RTT towards the tailgate a bit to better center on the bed and stay clear of the spoiler fin. This is easily accomplished by ordering an extra set of crossbars to install between the fixed end crossbars. I’m waiting on these to arrive before I install my RTT. YMMV

Seems like 19” may have to be the way to go to have any use out of the over bed camera.

Some part of the increased cost is due to a more complicated/robust connection system due to the uniqueness of the R1T bed system. The R1T requires a continuous bed rail plate, unique hardware connections to the Rivian crossbar attachment points, and accommodation for gear tunnel buttons. This is clearly more involved than the simple clips used for the legacy manufacturer trucks. I'm sure there is some R&D costs being recouped as well as smaller scale inefficiencies with the limited number of Rivians in the market.

Do these factors justify the Rivian premium? I think it's the premium we pay to encourage after-market ingenuity to pursue, develop, and deliver quality mods to these limited production number trucks.

Thank you, EVTrukHog, for the great pix. Finally, after months of trying to get a definitive answer regarding the 18” rack’s relationship to the actual roof height (up to the base of the antenna fin ), now, I have a better idea. Even queries to OX did not result in any accurate answers. As I have mentioned prior, my RTT will have to slide for forward to the very base of the fin, without going above it.

The 18" looks to be in line with the tip of the spoiler, but it slopes upward slightly from the tip to the fin. I was originally thinking I should go to the roof bar height, but keeping things as low as possible would be better, and sliding my tent up to the fin would be just about perfect.

Or, you could do risers when putting on a RTT if you want to keep it aligned with the roofline when the RTT isn’t mounted. That’s what I’m considering for that potential situation

18” will completely block your bed camera. 19” will likely be partially obstructed but be able to see the bed.

So I got my extrusion delivered today but that was it. There is no other hardware or anything else I ordered. Anyone that has order it gotten two separate deliveries? unfortunately they were closed but I’ll send an email to them just wondering on other’s experience in deliveries.
