I want the rwd version...but with heated seats and steering wheel.
Which as far as I could tell is not an option, yet anyway. Guess I'll be waiting a while, which is fine.
Good news -- at least per the configuration site, the standard interior does come with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel:

Click on the "Learn more" under the Black Crater interior color, scroll all the way to the bottom, and you'll see it.

I'd prefer the standard version too, except for the fact it doesn't have the roll down rear glass. I like the Standard's 19" rims and the light headliner that comes with its black interior (vs. the headliner being black on the Premium). I also don't need cooled front seats, heated rear seats, etc. It really is just the roll down rear glass that is pushing me to the Premium trim, which is probably exactly what Rivian wants 😜

it’s much easier to find a variety of tires for 20” wheels vs. 21”.
Will that still be the case when in 3-4 years there are tens of thousands of R2's with 21" wheels that need new tires?

I agree. I can see the advantage of the 20”s but unless you are unlucky and need a new tire soon then there will be options out for the 21s in the next couple of years.
Sidewall is a 0.5inch difference so should be minimal difference in ride quality (6 vs 5.5”)

LE seems like a good deal, while they last.

My Premium R2 spec is $63.2k with dest. Honestly not far from my iX3 spec I keep building at $68.3k with dest. Expected them to be further apart to make it a no brainer.

Leasing Model 3 until R3X comes out, but now I have an R2 reservation as well.
Catalina Cove looks like dark teal to me. I’d have to see it in person.

I drove a Honda Fit for 16 years and it was always hard to find tires for it. They were quite small. Maybe 15-16”? If other vehicles start becoming equipped with 21” wheels then maybe.

Well both iX3 50 and EX60 seem to have 21" wheel options, at least in other markets where specs are listed, but they aren't running 32" tires (the iX3 50 has a 29" tire size, the EX60 has 30"), so the side wall would be smaller and the R2 would need to be programmed for the smaller tire size, which IIRC is already an option for R1. Handling/ride comfort might take a hit too.

That’s interesting. I hope there’s a growing market for 21”s.

Why can’t we get 20”all season tires on the launch edition ?? I want the extra range and those rim and tires are available as no up charge on the Premium model!

It is darker and bluer than I was expecting it. It can brighten slightly in the sunlight but in most lightings it is far more cerulean than teal to give you an idea.

This first image is SOTC but the 2nd is adjusted to match what my eyes saw as the color in real life.
