I'm starting this thread as a place for Rivian Comma users that currently have the longitudinal adapter/harness and are moving up to the new Extreme Dev Kit and want to sell their harness/adapter set up.

Due to the two different models, please be sure to list which harness the longitudinal adapter is for ( Comma Harness or Lukas-Xnor harness) . Also indicate if you are including the main harness as well. Please include a picture with a sticky note or piece of paper that has your screen name on it. (Not a photoshopped version)

As a buyer- please proceed to contact the seller thru a DM so we don't inundate the thread. Feel free to include me @LivingInKaos in the DM if you want as a safety measure.

I noticed the xnor shop has discontinued selling the longitudinal adapter now that the newer one that supports angle based steering has come out. I wish it wasn’t $500+ usd with a need to dig in to replace the existing harness.

There was an OOS video yesterday showing that AdventurePilot might have overcome most of the torque steering limits on the Rivian and supports longitudinal since it’s based off Sunnypilot.

I’m curious… is the angle based steering actually better?

I might buy a longitudinal kit if somebody is selling theirs.

There's a reason FSD and Rivian's Autonomy + use angle based instead of torque.

I'm selling my Longitudinal upgrade. Let's make a deal.

Angle control will be the way in the future as the driving models get better. For now, torque, especially with the Adventure Pilot build is great compared to where we started early last year. Adding the long adapter provides a key component that I feel is a safety item worth it in and off itself - blind spot monitoring. With auto lane change, without the monitors it will go over at whatever your prescribed time setting regardless of a car being there. With the BS sensors, you have the added safety that is someone is there, it will warn and wait until it is clear.

Does the longitudinal harness not do the blind spot monitoring?

I am still on the standard comma 4 harness so I do not know.

Are there any updates on first shipments of the new extreme dev kit?
