I don't know if it's been talked about in this thread, but I can't believe there's no FM radio. OK, maybe I'm an old fart (46), but no AM radio -- OK, I get it. But also no FM radio? That just seems odd.
I did demo drive yesterday in Palo Alto and they have FM radio in R2

Didn't see that anyone posted this one yet...first "comparison" video between the R2, 4Runner, and Model Y:

Just watched this and was shocked how biased they were on the 4Runner.

I've put a few thousand miles on newer model 4Runners in the last few years and found them to be absolutely terrible to drive. Harsh ride quality, terrible steering, no throttle response, totally confused shifting.

I have no idea how they could honestly compare the driving experience favorably to a Rivian.

As discussed elsewhere, the FM audio is not coming from an FM tuner receiving radio signals from a broadcast tower. It is streaming from iHeartRadio or TuneIn over the cellular connection.

The 21" is a less aggressive all season tire compared to the all terrain 20"...not as much rolling resistance.
OK, that makes sense. So presumably you could put a less aggressive tire on the 20" rim and get even better range than the 21" version.
It's entirely down to the tires on the respective rims and nothing to do with the rim size. You can go with the 20s, put more efficient tires on there and likely get the same or better range as the 21s
I wonder if the factory would be willing/able to install the 20" Pirelli AS instead of BFG 20" AT? No doubt that would require some kind of manual intervention/exception unless Rivian is willing to reconfigure the configurator for Performance AT to allow it. But that would mean acknowledging a packaging misfire (no pun) - so unlikely?

I'd like the 20" AT wheels but have no use for AT tires w/ shorter range and w/out 3PMSF. I'd prefer to break in w/ AS having greater range and then go tire shopping for 3PMSF later on.

This is decades-long standard operating procedure for any new vehicle launch. A better reason to be skeptical is that most of those "influenced" invited to the R2 launch are truly awful at what they claim to do. 🤣
Yep, often nauseating.

That would have to be done at the service center. Another factor, the total diameter of both wheels with factory spec tires is identical. So 20” with all seasons would probably just match the 21” range.

No way the factory or service center would do that.

Also the BF Goodrich are 3PMSF so I'm confused by what you meant?

Look really closely at Tire Rack for R2 size.
