Interesting. I reserved just a couple day earlier than you, but my window is wider (Sept - Nov)... I wonder what accounts for the difference.

I have two saved configs, both with coastal interior, one with forest green exterior. I'm also a couple hundred miles from a Rivian location.

Well, since we were told we would have an order window "in June" which meant June 30th, I would guess "Aug-Sep" means Aug31-Sep30

Everything I've read and been told...Rivian has held up their end of what's been communicated.

For context: I am an R1 owner since 8/22/22, put my R2 deposit in within the first 30 minutes on March 7, 2024, and live about 70 miles from a SC. I also opted in for the Launch Edition.

Pretty much same as you and I got the same 2-4 weeks...

Not a current Rivian owner. I did express interest in the Launch Edition.

Do we know when the LE will end?

March 2026, non-owner, service center 3 miles away. Won't be ordering right at invite since my timeframe for a car purchase is Fall 2027-Spring 2028. But since invites don't expire, will keep the reservation since I am a serious customer for the R2. Made the reservation given the speculated 1.5-2 year wait.

I'd guess that's a key decider for sure - I'm 25 minutes away from the new service center and about 45 from the other. And I did express interest in the LE.

I do wonder how long it will take them to start producing the Coastal Cloud interiors.

I need to wait until around at least November before I can justify taking on a second car payment or turning my lease in slightly early on another make.

But for sure, I'm going for white interior.

Reserved barely a week ago on 6/21/2026, account says invite anticipated Nov-Dec 2026.

New to the brand, said I was interested in LE (launch green, black interior). Test drove earlier in June. Closest service center is approx. 2 hours away in Richmond (I live in central VA). I wonder if they prioritize getting these out to people in locations with a smaller EV presence, to help publicize the brand (this ain't California, 95% of cars here are ICE, and the 5% that are electric are Teslas ).

Biggest question I (and I'm sure others) have is when will the hardware transition to LIDAR and when will LE end? Will there be launch editions with LIDAR? I'd love the Launch Edition, but with my invite being so close to the supposed LIDAR transition, I might just wait until Jan/Fed 2027 to get the upgraded specs. Wish they'd provide more details about this...
