Highly, highly doubt that will happen. Rivian incentivized customers to buy the LE by including freebies knowing that the LiDAR/RAP version is coming soon. If they hadn't added the freebies I think a lot of people would have just waited. Once LiDAR is here, I'd bet LE is going away.

Correct answer here. I also have been getting the feeling RAP1/LIDAR isn't coming til MY2028 next June.

My email specifically says when I order (November to December) that the Launch Edition will still be available to me.

Make sure you do the actions they are requiring. Most likely to check your shipping address, configuration, and if you have a least date ending, upload that.

It’s weird, that has been there for months. I actually inquired with Rivian about it. All my info is in the system but at “Action Required” does not go away. Thanks

It is because on that reservation I am willing to bet he put NOT INTERESTED in launch. All who answered that say Dec 2026-Feb 2027.

Curious to see how many premium they make without LiDAR now.

I wish they had told us that of course I would’ve checked yes interested in launch. That sucks.

Did you check the "Upload current lease info" section? i ignored that for a while but when i went in there and selected no lease, then that Action Required went away.

You can see my reservation date. I live exactly 1 mile from a Rivian dealer. I do not have an R1S. I have test driven already. I do not have a lease.

Yeah I figured they might want to keep the actual order spreadsheet clean.

I tried to extract all the data, do some OCR on the screenshots, let NOTEBOOK LLM parse the text and table it.

If anyone wants to clean it up, or if the mod wants to put it upfront, clean it up and let ppl correct or refine their entries we'll have a working sheet from the past 10 pages.

Not sure uploading the lease really does anything for the timing. Just more data collection. I uploaded mine. It ends April 2027. E-mail still came in saying I'd be invited to order Sep - Oct 2026.

mine says the same thing, it seems to want me to update a lease - which I don't have.

Probably right.

But some posters have order windows as late as February 2027, and they are still promised a Launch Edition. So if the production line switches to RAP1/LIDAR at the end of 2026 as was previously announced, it seems possible that Launch Editions afterwards will have the new hardware (or they run two production lines/variants simultaneously?).

Not sure if there are any newer announcements for the RAP1/LIDAR timing, but as of late last year they said "Our Gen 3 Autonomy hardware including ACM3 and LiDAR is currently undergoing validation and we expect it to ship on R2 models starting at the end of 2026."

But If RAP1/LIDAR is delayed until next June, it would make sense that all Launch Editions will end in early 2027, prior to the new hardware.

R1T owner (non-lease), March 7th reservation (1:07pm EST), although nearest service center is 100 miles away.

I am starting to think the take up rate on the R2 is not what they expected.

Yeah, and it actually makes me a little nervous. They need to sell a butt-ton of these to stay afloat, and I really do not want to be just another one among the next 25,000 cousins of the Fisker clan.

Please, someone out there show us an invite estimate for 12/27!

Wondering if my availability date is tied to my lease ends (Nov 2)?

I suspect so. I was told I would be able to get the LE in Nov-Dec. time frame.
