I wonder given the reversal … how many people won’t get back in line and how much equity just went poof. All because of a poorly considered email and policy.

Yep, I’m just a bubbling baby. I understand prices are subject to change, and it said that in a reservation fine language, but they knew well ahead of time that they had to raise prices, and did not adjust accordingly until deliveries were ready to begin. You do realize that Tesla and other auto makers sell you the order at the price you place it at right? Even if they raise it in-between your order and the next, that is standard industry practice and is expected.Again, it's not loyalty. You have no idea what loyalty is about.
You're crying so badly and backpedaling because you got too emotionally wrapped up in a false sense of loyalty.
And you didn't even understand the wording on the agreement when you put down your deposit. That's another source of your temper tantrums on here. So convenient that you ignored that when I brought it up, right? You felt entitled to interpret it any way you wanted and so you accused the company of bait-and-switch (which you also don't know the meaning of).

So you finally read the agreement that you should have understood before your ranting started.Yep, I’m just a bubbling baby. What I didn’t understand was people who ordered around the same time being told they didn’t have to pay a 17-20% inflated price because their delivery was occurring a week before mine.
I’m sure they’re glad to have a blind fan boy that will pay whatever price they put in front of you, and doesn’t expect them to execute on anything they promise or promote.
And I’ll just leave this definition of bait and switch for you here, I’m done interacting with you troll:
“the action (generally illegal) of advertising goods which are an apparent bargain, with the intention of substituting inferior or more expensive goods.”
yep, this thread and the social media "influencers" have documented a 24 hour embarrassing episode in self-involved ass-hattery.I wonder how many YouTubers are having to reedit their videos on latest Rivian news?
Fortunately you offer only one sentence.I didn't read all of this because it's nonsense, but today's email CLEARLY shows there is significant elasticity for this car just like any other.
I was really contemplating the same thing.....Welp, I guess I'll try back in 2024![]()

VERY glad that this wasn't one of those scenarios where if you cancelled, you lost your placeholder position.
That seems to be the evidence that this was a planned action, not a bungled price change. The rationale is they offered the down-spec 2-motor to keep the price point. I guess that's a group-think outcome, but did they not sound this out with anyone outside the C suite bubble? What I didn’t understand was people who ordered around the same time being told they didn’t have to pay a 17-20% inflated price because their delivery was occurring a week before mine.
