I thought the same but I've been through every app and every menu in the settings app and it persists -- I'll do a reset later today to see if it goes away.
Its a bug. If you have additional driver profiles setup in the car, you need to go to those and review / accept in each profile. It’ll go away from yours once done.

a two-button reset fixed the problem. Although I had a screen pop up this afternoon telling me about automatic lane changes when I first got in the vehicle... which was weird.

Hmm. Sometimes, I don't read very well, but exactly where in the Release Notes does it say that Alexa is being removed?

Not in release notes. Some people received emails announcing them dropping support for Alexa and it's long expected to happen when they announced they'd be introducing Rivian Assistant (powered by Google and Google Gemini). And because of that... it's a given Alexa will be dropped/replaced and removed from vehicle UI. There's also been multiple complain threads bemoaning death of Alexa and ability to stream and control Amazon Music by voice commands. You can still stream Amazon Music directly from a bluetooth paired phone and use the phone's own digital assistant to control that playback. Plus, Wassym said they are working on a native Amazon Music app and it will be released "sooner than you think" (whatever that means).

Amazon music after Alexa is discontinued on August 4?
Bye Bye Alexa - being retired from Rivians as of August 4, 2026

I echo the issues with the traffic lights. It’s frequently just plain wrong!

Does the traffic cones only show up for triangular cones? I have not seen a single traffic cone on the display, but they have all been orange barrels or more like the flat one left of the barrel below:

It hasn’t been quite a week yet, but thus far Apple Music hasn’t crashed once. (knocks hard on wood). I don’t recall having problems anywhere in the Rivian’s systems (beats the wood)..

Wait, that doesn’t quite sound right.

I like the update's improvements to Apple Music and the A.I. texting seems much more prompt. However, the update killed the cameras on my R1T. All of them. Twas working great until the update. Multiple hard and soft resets have not fixed the problem. Considering I've generally had zero issues with the truck in 2 1/2 years other than the 12v battery, I guess my time was up. LOL.

Just triangular cones. Right now it’s pretty useless as-is, though. The system basically just identifies them, but does nothing to navigate in way of them. The vehicle will not veer away from the cones, and will run them over if allowed to.

Got it pushed to my Gen 1 R1; but that was partly in response to a fix in it for my specific issue. ("…fixed a rare issue…" yay!)

Ever since this update landed, I have two new bugs:

* Sport mode regularly resets with suspension to "Low" -- I prefer it in "Normal". This never used to happen, it would remember that I had Sport in Normal height and it would always have that when I selected Sport mode. Now I have to manually change it every day.
* Driver's side mirror WILL NOT return to my saved position after a reverse tilt-down. I have re-oriented it and re-saved it 10 times, and it doesn't matter...after being in reverse, it tilts back up (y axis), but it doesn't "turn in" (x axis), so it's angled too far away from me.

I am so, so, so sick of things breaking with updates. Every time, something that used to work fine breaks.

Was reading of those Rivian stories and noticed that PTP won’t be wide released until 2027. But a select few will get it in 2026.

Point-to-Point assisted driving is the next milestone we're building toward.⁶ Enter an address and supervise while your vehicle follows the route from start to finish, handling city streets, highway interchanges and everything in between. A limited rollout begins later this year, with a widespread customer rollout targeted for 2027.

Thought I'd join to add my 2 cents on update issues. Picked up my 2026 R1T tri last month so this is my first Rivian update.
  1. PAAK is less reliable, and less responsive. I now routinely get all the way to my car and touch the handle before it recognizes my presence. Walking away is the opposite, it waits much longer before locking the doors. I was used to taking a few steps, now I'm walking 10 steps and looking back to double check
  2. Kneel mode takes about twice as long. It has the same initial big moves (front, then back, then front again, but seems to then fiddle around for some period of time after those moves, before indicating it's done
  3. My A/C works fine, but my ventilated seats are a shadow of their former selves. When I first bought it, they did seem weak. Last week I discovered the trick to turning on rear footwell A/C, and it made a huge difference, actually providing some crisp forced air. Since the update, that frosty blast is gone, and no combination of settings brings it back.
I was excited to get an update and go through the process, even though this update didn't contain much that was meaningful to me. Now I just wish I could revert to the prior build, since things I use every day have been made worse.

How has the update been for those that have been living with it? Did it resolve any bugs not listed on the release notes? Did it introduce any new bugs? The last few updates I've seen several new bugs introduced and curious if this one fixes more than it creates.

Also curious if anyone else with Connect+ is still waiting for the update like me? I know the update goes out in batches but waiting 1.5 weeks doesn't feel like priority.
