I had an expected May-June delivery date. Spoke to my guide for the first time today. She confirmed my configuration, then asked if I could take delivery sooner. “Uhh yes please”! asked if we were talking about April or what. She says, “nope more like, before the end of March, or next week”. Well hot damn!

I made made my preorder for the R1T Launch Edition in Launch Green November 2020. She said my configurations matches a batch getting ready for final inspection.

Do you still have the R1T reservation, or did you switch to R1S?

I have a June/July window for an LE R1S. Not only have I not had contact with a guide, my pricing is still showing the price hike. I have literally no idea what's going on.

I would not sweat it. I have the same window, they said it could take a few weeks to get the prices rolled back, probably see that within 2 weeks. I am not expecting to hear anything before June at the earliest from a guide

We should have a much better idea mid late May if things are progressing. April/May seems like when the heavier R1Ss were in the delivery poll.

I have a day one R1S reservation as well (#1673 if that actually means anything), but not a peep from Rivian. I did receive the e-mail saying something would happen March-April 2022, but we're almost out of March. I'm waiting for the next e-mail that kicks the can down the road 2 more months.

I did have an interesting question for customer service that they were unable to answer about the First Mile drive events. I spoke with someone named CeCe today. My first question was, if I schedule a First Mile drive event in an R1T, will I get an opportunity to drive an R1S at some point in the future when they become part of these events? I don't know if each pre-order holder is only entitled to 1 First Mile reservation. CeCe didn't know the answer to this, and just kept telling me "that they're essentially the same, and if you like the R1T, you'll love the R1S". Even so, not a real answer. They also couldn't give me any kind of guesstimate about when a guide might contact me, but did say that the delivery windows for R1S had NOT changed.

I also have concerns that my Canyon Red R1S reservation's going to be pushed out quite a ways just because of the color I selected. Red seems super rare. I saw the LE Green and it looked to me like every other putty-colored car I've seen recently...
FWIW, I managed to get myself into the first mile event at Sears Point(it’s not sonoma goddamnit), despite not living in the same country. I was assured that while they’re limiting people to one drive per day/event(When I was there they were perfectly willing to schedule me another drive on subsequent days but there were no slots). Apparently it’s fine to go to as many first mile events as you want, if they’re not all booked up of course. Keen to do another once they start closer to home.

NOTE: THIS IS FOR AN R1T NOT AN R1S. THIS REALLY SHOULDN'T BE POSTED IN THIS FORUM.

Where are you coming up with this delivery window info? I have a Feb. ’22 preorder and, while I’m certainly in no rush, it would be entertaining to have a window estimate, regardless of whether it’s remotely accurate ? I was actually expecting, even hoping for, 2024.
I would also like to find out more about the Delivery windows people mention in the posts. Many are stating dates that are pretty far out.
I have also noticed many of the order polls people have filled in similar dates, many don't correlate to the info Rivian has put out for Max pack and Explore delays.
....Some have posted early 2022 delivery dates even through they have configured a Max pack or Explore package.
I would be interested in finding out more about the big reset that happened for all Non-LE reservations holders when the delays were announced.

From the polls I have seen, most max packs are R1T vehicles. There is also a good number of Explore packages in the responses. R1T/R1S ratio seems to be around 60/40 split.
If you can rely on those numbers there are 15-20,000 (based on the end of year 71,000 res holders) people waiting for configurations that won't go into production until mid 2023 (per rivian build site).

The part that makes the surveys difficult is the high number of LE responses. Way too many to make the polls reliable to use.

I'm starting to doubt an April-May delivery for an R1S given that I still haven't been assigned a guide yet. Anyone else have an early 2019 preorder and no guide contact?
Me, no guide contact or any contact

I think people may be changing their configs but not updating the polls... :)

2018 Pre-Order, No Guide Contact. I really don't know of any guide contacts for any R1S pre-orders accept for those who had an early R1T that later switched to R1S. I'm in the camp of hoping they do a blitz in April somewhat like they did for the R1T in early March.

Looks like nobody has answered your question. On December 28, 2021 existing reservation holders received an email from Rivian with an estimated delivery window. My impression is most folks who had made their reservations after early October 2021 were told to expect delivery in the second half of 2023. My reservation was early October and Rivian estimated a first half of 2023 delivery window. If you are “hoping for 2024” that sounds reasonable to me.

If you spend any time on the forum you’ll find plenty of opinions explaining why delivery timelines will either slip or improve for folks with more recent reservations.

Thanks for the insight.
I know sometime in the last 6 months they stopped giving estimated windows on new reservations.

Thanks you, JAC. That perfectly answers my question. Mystery solved!
