There is at least one, maybe 2 people on this forum claiming the same thing for what it's worth.
I have 2 Rivian accounts one with an October 2019 pre-order R1T LE and the other with a Sep 21 pre-order R1T adventure max-pack.
While my guide was on vacation my backup guide was trying to help me find an existing vehicle that I could get quickly. He was looking at the wrong account (non-LE) and found me an LE to fulfill the order If I dropped the max-pack and changed a few other things. He didn’t even mention that the order wasn’t for an LE. I think the policy is not to give people and LE if they didn’t hit the preorder deadline, but I don’t think they have good guardrails to prevent guides from doing it.
That being said, I want to keep the max-pack as is and am getting the R1T LE from my Oct 19 preorder on Saturday.

My situation is not a launch edition (I ordered an adventure) but I ordered 9/25/21 and have a delivery scheduled for next week. I even went by the delivery center yesterday to confirm the truck was actually there. Sure enough, it was and it was awaiting PDI. So I'm not entirely sure the logic on how orders are getting allocated but I think its possible to get changed around to an LE.

My center is the Denver service center and they have more trucks there than I have seen to date. The entire front lot was full and the gated area behind had another half row. It was probably 60+ trucks. A lot of them were one of the two greens. They may just have an over allocation of greens being shipped out randomly. That or the demand for a green R1T is insane. Its the wild west in the Rivian delivery world!
I'm a 10/2021 pre-order holder and picking up my truck from the Denver service center this week as well!! (Wednesday AM to be precise)

That’s hilarious, you just barely beat me to it. I tried to confirm that time and the scheduler said you are good to go and then two seconds later said never mind you just missed it. So now I know how beat me! ? congratulations on the delivery!

I am sure you all are sick of hearing me complain, but this whole thread is frustrating beyond words. I feel like I need a mental health break from this website. :CWL:

I am BEGGING Rivian for my vehicle at this point, and am getting nowhere. I am 20 minutes from the Denver service center, but am close by at least a couple times a week. I have told them I will take pretty much any vehicle (color, interior, underbody, etc.), would be more than happy to pick it up at the SC, and I can't get anywhere. I am just completely ignored. Emails, texts, voicemails all just go into a blackhole. CS is always pleasant, but they can't do anything, and it never actually moves anything along. I've had no issues waiting for 3+ years, but the past month has really just taken me from being excited to just being exasperated. I don't know what else to do at this point, but this has all left a really sour taste in my mouth.

Oof sorry man. Have you been assigned a guide? Singed a PBA?

Yes and yes. But can't get passed that for some reason. It sucks. My guide seems nice, but the communication has been horrible.
