I feel like all manufacturers are going to jack up their price now by $7500. Ford already started with their Lightning, i'm sure Mach-E is next
Why? Nobody will get a tax credit now, so most of the non-phased out manufacturers are, in essence, facing a $7,500 price increase already, likely driving away some customers.

I'm wondering why they didn't also provide a way to do this in the Rivian.com web account profile. That would have provided the "safety net" for these email issues. Obviously the backend code is done. Providing the same button in the email, in your web profile, seems like a no brainer and is minimal effort. It was a web link with a 64 character query string.

True but i'm referring to the ones that do qualify. Ford, Tesla, Chevy...... And as I mentioned, Ford announced their price increase just a few days ago. Their all gonna use the inflation, supply chain excuse to jack up the price

I wonder how many people will cancel their orders because of this and how it will affect the timeline of getting a R1T?

I'm curious if any of their models will even meet the new requirements. We'll find out in the coming months.

I did not get the email either. I have had an R1S preorder for almost two years. I did not cancel at any point. I searched email in every possible way and looked for anything from Rivian or Tony Caravano in all folders but it just isn't there.

I waited on the phone for 1 hour 17 minutes and finally got a human. The CS rep looked at my info and said " yeah, should have got it" He said he added my name to a list and they will have to go through the list and send individual emails. I reminded him it needs to be signed most likely by today and asked if it would be resent to day and he said yes. I'm going to do the generic one from the links above from the Rivian site if I don't get it soon. Really frustrating that they chose to only use email for something that can affect everyone to the tune of $7500. Just shows they still have some growth to achieve as a company.

For anyone else not getting the confirmation page, make sure you turn off all your pop-up blockers and other blocker apps in your browser for rivian.com and cloud.e.rivian.com. I had to do it in Chrome before it finally worked.

I signed the online agreement and downloaded the PDF after putting in the name/ email.

However the downloaded PDF doesn't have the my name in the "Customer Signature" or "Customer Printed Name".

Is this expected? Do others have their name in the PDF?

Aware of the recent F150 Lightning price bump?
I just ordered a Lightening. Not excited about it but it is the only electric truck I can order now. They say during the process the price hike does not apply to me but the total they showed when I placed the order included the price hike. They say, dealer will take it off. For some reason that does not make me feel all warm and fuzzy. They also say it may take until fall of 23 which may be my Rivian time frame (best scenario case). I miss the days we had a lot of options for what we buy on the same day.

Odd man out here, but NOT signing (yet). Legally obligating me to purchase a $80k+ (R1S) vehicle that could be years out from delivery, has not been tested extensively out in the wild, and has numerous known issues, is a bad idea. Not a lawyer and would love one to chime in to correct me, but the way I read it is that this goes much further than losing $100. Anyone that says Rivian wouldn't force them to honor the purchase after signing this agreement, or at least forfeit your remaining $900 if you don't, doesn't know how the real world works. What if they change their minds again and jack up the price even slightly? There goes the tax credit, and there goes your $100. Don't be so sure what companies in financial distress may or may not do to survive.

The other thing is, this will potentially earn Rivian up to a $9,800,000 (98,000 pre-orders) liability draw-down on their balance sheet. I am curious why they didn't make it so you lost a $1.00 of your deposit instead. I don't know...seems like a bit of a cash grab.

I think another issue that should be considered is that even Rivian admits that the tax credit isn't guaranteed. Sure this is a long-shot potential savings of $7,500 which seems a lot, but isn't that much if you are financing the vehicle over the course of many years. Interpret the agreement how you will, but this was intentionally worded so that people rushed to sign it (as evident by the response so far on this board, and those that didn't receive it, frothing at the mouth and staying on hold for hours with customer service.). I strongly advise at least taking a beat so that someone skilled in contracts can advise us how this affects our rights regarding the vehicle purchase.

I had to write mine in. This is currently expected. Ideally they should've pre-filled in that information, which wouldn't have been that hard.

I'm not that paranoid and will be buying an R1T no matter what. They can jack up the prices with or without this BPA.
