I had a very similar thing happe to me. Cancelled, got reinstated, had no communication or emails whatsoever. Communicated via chat. Was told my order existed. Still not a peep from them. Aug 20, got an email, the first from them to complete my purchase (R1S) did the steps, confirmed my vin and it’s on its way to Venice service center. Expect delivery by end of the month. Got the email and guide contact all within a two day window. I felt
OP’s pain and I ranted on this forum b/c of how frustrating Rivian can be from a communication standpoint.
‘’my advice for whatever that’s worth, reach out thru every outlet you have and be polite yet ask for clarity. Good luck

Fire up an email explaining your situation, attach all of your previous correspondence with Rivian, to RJScaringe at Rivian dot com and see what happens?

I also don't remember a deadline. Searched my email history and came up blank, but figure maybe it was only sent out to those who cancelled. Would be interesting if there is anyone on the forum who successfully reinstated their cancelled order after 3/20...
The early march reinstatement email said the deadline was 3/20. Six months ago.

Check this thread for others who were reinstated after the (was it ever communicated?) "deadline."

https://www.rivianforums.com/cancelled-orders-have-been-restored/
Skimming through the old forum thread and seems like although the orders were reinstated post March 20th, customers had already reached out and the orders were reinstated and pricing was restored in April to reflect old pricing.

While I feel for the OP, phone calls probably weren't the best choice for a digital trail that can be easily traced.

I had issue with my account where they had to cancel it back in 2020ish I think? in order to move my account profile to Canada, and reinstate it. Because of that, it's caused issues with their estimated fulfillment timeline, because it both does, and does not show in their system as a result. After some helpful back and forth with CS and some emails back and forth from that transition time, all was good.

I think you should submit whatever "evidence" you have to CS for which I would start with a live web chat, and ask to email them the transcripts showing that you tried to reinstate your order before the deadline they mention, and see what happens.

While the backlash and cancellations had the result of a pricing reinstatement for early adopters, you ultimately chose to cancel your order, and while it sucks to lose out, unfortunately there are limits to the "freeinstatement" of pricing

To be fair, at this point this was 6 months ago and you had to more or less know something wasn't right or active with the order on your account, as you explicitly cancelled and did not explicitly re-instate.

You might be able to talk them into an exception if you ask nicely, but it's also been enough time that some of the burden for this is on you.

what do you mean, the OP has been trying to get it reinstated since April. he didnt wait 6 months and then suddenly he wants the old price back. he probably only waited until April because he never received the email about reinstating after the reversal.

I still don't see the evidence this occurred. Phone call records emails or anything would help.

In any case if it did any can prove it he stands a chance, even though it was past the deadline. I will say though if it's gone on this long one has likely been a little lazy about resolving the matter.

Would be useful if he used a proper email address rather than an info@ which obviously doesn’t seem very personal and triggers the system.

Sure, but as previously stated the deadline was March 20. As the original poster seems to be a cohort of one, I don't think this can be deemed a systemic problem but in any case I'm not sure what he expects a topic on an internet forum to accomplish now.

Like I said, they wont respond to my emails. When I call, I get a brand new customer service person that has no idea who I am, each time I explain my situation and provide them with my contact information, they say they cant find ANYTHING in their system that I have called or emailed about this issue. I responded to the email I posted earlier attempting to show my evidence and got nothing back. They openly admit their email system had a bug which prevented me from receiving correspondence from them, yet they wont reinstate me.

As many other preorder holders, I received the price hike to preorder holders email back in March. Like many others, after waiting for well over a year, I was devastated. I called Rivian and voiced my frustration with their decision to hike prices on preorder holders, and subsequently cancelled my order. After facing the public backlash, Rivian reversed course and sent out their letter stating that they would reinstate anyone that had cancelled and they would honor the original quoted price and would be reaching out to folks that had cancelled their orders to provide them a way to reinstate. I waited and waited, never received an email, phone call, nothing. I called Rivian in April and was told they assigned a case rep to my issue and they would be reaching out with an update soon. Called again in May, June, and July. Fast forward to August, and called Rivian yet again to discuss what in the world is going on with my reinstatement and they said they would research this, they acknowledged that they never tried to contact me in any way (phone or email), and a rep would review my case and would contact me. Again, never heard anything back. Zero. So, I called again last week and repeated this insane process yet again. This time, however, a rep did finally email me back about a week later explaining that despite the fact of all that I've done, they cant find ANY correspondence from Rivian to me or vice versa, no emails, nothing. As such, they cannot reinstate my order. They wont respond to my emails requesting details, nothing. This is insane...
I am so sorry--but I am confused, as your list of vehicles Staes you have an RIT?
