Changed A/T Bright Wheels to Glossy Black using Vinyl Decals

Just used Brain Exploder’s (he’s a paint ball enthusiast) A/T bright vinyl wrap to make the A/T’s glossy black. They vinyl seems to be an exact match to OEM black trim. He has gun metal, matte black, and yellow, too.

I think it came out quite well, although I still need to do the spare. I really like the single color. I originally wanted the AT dark, but not for $3500 and I wasn’t crazy about the two color look.

This was a very inexpensive option that looks great - and it’s very easy to go back to stock.

How is this expected to hold up?

I’ve been back and forth on wheels for so long this might be a good alternative.

Looks better than it has any right to and makes me wonder if real PPF can be applied to the OEM black 20s to enhance their durability without ruining the look. I agree the cost of them is a bit obscene but they are gorgeous.

Not yet, but i’ll snap some pics. My sense is they will hold up, I wash my cars so i’ll be keeping an eye out. It’s not a solution for those that want a show ready ride, there are little gaps etc. My ideal look would be black, but there is enough grey on the rest of the car to pull this off.

Really like these wheel decals. Anyone have long term experience on other vehicles on how long these last or how well they take car washes. Last thing I would want is to have to be gentle with a "adventure vehicle" truck. That said, cost savings from going to bright 20s to dark with decals is a big big difference and can see the appeal.

I'm waiting to take delivery and I have the standard 20" ATs speced. However before I was willing to take the 20 Brights just because of these vinyl pieces being available. I'm not a fan of the brights and the darks aren't worth the upcharge so these were an option for me if for some reason the standard 20s were delayed (which didn't end up being the case).

Either way the vinyl pieces look even better than the 20 Darks. For some reason Rivian went with a tinted clearcoat instead of just painting the wheels black so they look a bit off and is not worth almost double the price of the 20 Brights imo.

Good option. Wonder how they hold up..............I was planning on getting them powder coated, that normally runs $150/wheel.
