the tax credit extension was for 2023. if you take delivery in 2024 you most likely won't be eligible for the credit. This just keeps getting worse and worse.

Hey neighbor, looks like we're in this together.Mine went from Oct-Dec 2022 to "Processing estimate"... like they haven't had all year to process it? Frustrated that they don't have a better handle on service as distance to SC can make this truck N/A for me. 291 miles to Bellevue SC and not getting any closer...
This is what I'm thinking (hoping?) too. Our R1T was delivered 5 months earlier than the estimate.Lots of disappointment (understandably) here today. I wonder if Rivian has finally got a clue though and is trying the old "underpromise and over-deliver" approach? It would definintely be an about-face from what we've seen from them so far but given that production should be ramping up while simultaneously pushing nearly everyone's dates back, it seems at least possible, if not plausible, that there will be some earlier than expected deliveries.
For the record, already have my R1T but the R1S ordered at the same time (11/21) now has a 2024 delivery window. The wife will be thrilled....
Probably
Welcome to Rivian life. Your first of many disappointments to come.I’ve only got an R1S reservation from July 2022. Nothing has been configured yet.
Are people like me left in the lurch for dates? I don’t see anything like this when I login.

Same delivery window for me but ordered January 2021. Forget chatting with CS. Boilerplate response and then cut off the chat. Will keep my reservation because it will be the same card at as buying a Sentra by the time I get it and inflation continues. Other than that, all love is lost.Got a message about my delivery being delayed to Jan to Dec 2024 for a California Bay Area R1S large pack adventure ordered in Oct 2021. Pretty disappointed not to get it next year but assume this is based on my pre order date since everything else is standard stuff?
That’s not true. There is no date for delivery. It’s just the statement that if you have a binding contract you can treat your delivery as the day before the new law was signedthe tax credit extension was for 2023. if you take delivery in 2024 you most likely won't be eligible for the credit. This just keeps getting worse and worse.
Q2 is the new SooNYeah, seems Q2 is the new Q4.
that extension for the binding contract only extends through 2023.That’s not true. There is no date for delivery. It’s just the statement that if you have a binding contract you can treat your delivery as the day before the new law was signed
as a Feb 22 order I’m so confused how I got a Dec-Jan window. At least most of y’all got a time frame… I get a TBD since I live too far in the sticks apparently and the need to finalize a service center closer before I can get a date……..
I was better off I think with my original time frame with a max pack and being the second half of 2023.
Man I would drive to Atlanta or normal to get my Rivian lol. It’s just a road trip.
Who am I kidding it would be nice to have one of the gables first mile drives (like that will happen).
Congratulations to all you luck folks with a new time frame.

Agreed, managed with a single car for a while. Not sure we can wait another 6 months and knowing Rivian and it may get pushed further.Depending on your needs, there aren't very many options yet. My estimate is also Apr-June 23, Jan 19 Res holder.
