Thanks R1Tom! I have the same noises coming from the suspension. Been in to Brooklyn SC twice and both times told us was normal. Their test vehicle made the same noise. I love the truck but it sounds like sh*t at low speed like the suspension will drop out at any minute. Nice to know I’m not the only one.
Let's all cross fingers that somebody somewhere figures this out and we all get solved.

But in the meantime...do a launch now and then, crank up some favorite tunes, etc...

There is so much fun to be had in these things, I don't want to steal a word, but while it was gone for the first service visit....I started to feel Deprivian.

Love deprivian! Hadn’t seen that one yet. I have to force myself to invite the noises as I drive City streets everyday. But yes, have resorted to cranking the music!

How about something like that? ;) My car is also doing all those clickings noises when accelerating and decelerating

Height: High
Stabilization: off
The same sound is happening on clean and dry roads.
No sound in any other Height settings.

Hope they will drop the new half shaft(s) at the coming appointment

I have absolutely zero tolerance for 100% utter BS lines like "it's normal.. they all do that"!! Yeah, when they all fail is that "normal" too? Just like the creaking tonneau covers.. yeah they all make creaking sounds so I guess it's "normal" too but we now know they're all doomed to fail.

I hate to be like this, but when faced with ignorant replies like "it's normal.. they all do that" you sometimes have to be the asshat who makes it in to a big deal because clearly it's a real problem and Rivian is just ignoring it like they did with the tonneau. My truck now looks like it's finally going to be delivered s00n... and if it has the creaking CV-Joint issue the Brooklyn SC is going to be on notice that that is not acceptable in an $80K vehicle.. period.

I think this is tonneau 2.0 in the making.
1000% agree.. it's a huge issue!

I would be very surprised if they are not already on top of this for future builds, as well as a plan for repairing vehicles that have been shipped.
By all indications, so far they have provided absolutely no guidance to the SC personnel that any permanent solution is in the works. it's very disappointing to see Rivian just ignore this clearly snowballing issue, shows their lack of maturity and understanding of customer satisfaction.

I agree. I think (or want to believe, lol) that on the engineering side, they are completely aware of this and are actively working on the problem. How could they not be on it? But as we have seen, getting the message - ANY message - out to the customer facing teams is another story.

This is my hope as well, but I will be reaching out to customer service to log my dissatisfaction. At the very least I will be on record with them that the issue exists for my truck.

We can only use our voices at this point, but there seems to be this huge disconnect between the lowly owners and the mighty factory. Owners complain to their guides who reply "I'll pass this along" and in most cases it seems that's about as far as it goes. Same goes for the SC staff... they seem to be out of the loop as to what's going on at corporate.
Once again lack of comms between corporate and Guides/SC and owners is at the heart of the matter. If Rivian would just acknowledge "there is a problem, we are aware of it.. we are working on it.." that would go a loooong way in putting owners at ease knowing Rivian isn't just going to string them along forever wasting our time with repeat SC visits for the same recurring problem and literally giving us a temp fix "lube job" that only lasts a couple of hundred miles.

If Rivian is to survive, it must have engineers and analysts watching warranty claims and addressing top problems. Thinking back to my days as a Honda warranty engineer, I'm confident that Rivian and GKN are working on the driveshaft problem. The real fix will be more than just grease and will take time to implement. Given Rivian's track record for communications, it is not surprising that service center technicians are clueless about what's happening at the factory.

I see a voluntary recall/customer satisfaction campaign in Rivian's future as this is happening on waaaay too many vehicles and it's even happening with the second set of half-shafts that have been installed after a few hundred miles driven.
This could end up costing even more then the tonneau campaign because the tonneau fix is most likely going to re-use most of the existing parts and maybe just add a second motor and updated right side bracket bracket. This campaign will involve replacing all four half-shafts/CV-Joints on each vehicle.. and those parts are quite expensive and fairly labor intensive to replace. Hopefully, the OEM manufacturer will be covering most of the cost as this is on them not Rivian.

I speculate it may also include the hubs as part of the needed solution. Yikes!
