I speculate it may also include the hubs as part of the needed solution. Yikes!
This is not going to be a cakewalk either because of the 7Klb weight of the R1T and the 840HP available. Whatever they come up with has to be a proven solution as it would be a disaster if the solution fix fails too.

With the few reported cases of actual physical failure I have seen online, I suspect it will take more of that to get some traction. Noises can be brushed under rugs....fail on road...not so much

These suspension noises kill a lot of enjoyment of the truck. I might get bothered by these things more than others but I absolutely hate hearing it and it almost makes me cringe every time I push on the accelerator.

I wish they would acknowledge it and at least let us know if there's a retroactive fix in the works for next year.

I wish they would do, but unfortunately as a business, Rivian have to be careful about what they publicly acknowledge and what makes it in to main stream news.

I suspect they'll probably address these suspension noises like a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) once they have a fix in place. Unlike a recall, it's usually addressed when people experience/notice the problem and make a service appt.

The problem I have is how does one know when "now..is finally time" to make that journey to service center? That it is not going to just come back again as "normal"?

FWIW mobile service was able to address my squeaking(also seemed to remove a thunk that i guess i had gotten used to and seemed to be more an on/off thing but maybe also was a symptom) without removing wheels and it's been good for about a month now. That is to say, it's potential something small could probably prevent it from happening as it's not really a wear on the part itself as it seems to be more about an undesired movement.

These are drive axle components and have been reported repeatedly as concerns on this forum for some time now. I think it is time for Rivian to acknowledge and describe the issue, assure owners it doesn’t present a safety concern, and advise owners of their action plan.
